Amazon have started their 'lightning' sales or whatever they're called. Pretty tedious to look through the list of deals every day, but every once in a while something decent crops up among all the tat.

If anyone sees any good deals on a decent pair of headphones, let me know please.

Amazon is the only place I bother looking, but in most cases it's not worth the effort for what you save. For gamers, gamestop normally have a few good deals as well.

I think a lot more stores will get involved with a discount of some sort this year. Then there's more going on for Cyber Monday too.

The term 'Black Friday' was unheard of in the UK three or four years ago. What next? We celebrate Thanksgiving?

I read somewhere that last year's 'black Friday' was JL else most successful ever single day in online sales.

Apparently it works over here because people will have just received their last pay check before Christmas.

TackyM started a big sunglasses one today but you have to be registered to get the full slam.

Mrs P has two pairs of Persol's coming. £188 down to £59 free delivery and return to store.

When I searched yesterday initially they did not show but when I logged on with wifeys login they came up so I am guessing you need to sign up to a news letter to access a level of the sale.

Of the few places I've looked for bargains so far, the ones offering 20% off have simply increased their prices by about 15% beforehand!! Naughty!

I was in JL looking for some Oakley's the other week and the sale's assistant announces 25% off just like that.

So a pair of wires was purchased, £225 at sun glasses hut, £186 at JL with 25% off which strangely enough is sun glasses hut ???????

Good deal,? don't know and don't care.

i5 MBA for under £750 is a bit of a bargain.

Mini sport are taking the Michael out of it's customers.

The radiator for minis up to 2001 were £60 earlier in the week.
Now they are up to £70 for the "Black Friday Sale"

I'll take two, and some wool to pull over my eyes please.

What an absolute crock the Currys Black Friday sale is. I waited an hour last night to get on the website to check out the TVs and saw a decent one reduced from £900 to £600. Checking it out online I found the same model £50 cheaper at John Lewis - where it wasn't on "sale".

20% off Equus Leather (belts for the cognoscenti)

    BLACK20 at the checkout.

    John lewis

iPads were flying out - £150 for the basic mini - sold out while I was there.

I got a 55 inch sony tv with s free sound at delivered to my front door for £795 - £100 off via Black Friday deal.

Also tesco - got ps4 with a drive club game for £289 - will use £90 in clubcard viuchers when pick it up so £200.

Got 20% iff a Michael kors bracelet too.

Ernest Jones have an amazing £100 off one for those who have daughters of a certain age if wives that still rock.

The worst part of the experience was parking!

Seriously - some giid savings out there today.

    Indeed, a sad indictment etc.

We bought a new telly from JL last weekend, happy to have paid extra just for a relaxed positive purchase experience.

I was after a TV for the kitchen and had no problem getting onto Tesco.com this morning, so I ordered a 32inch LED TV for £99 with free delivery.

I know for most the website was down, I couldn't connect at home but had no problem in the office.

It's a bit of a joke really - if you look at camelcamelcamel - Amazon often increase the prices of ideas before the sale to make the discount look bigger and other stores do the same. Moreover, who the fuck is fighting over a Blanpunkt TV - it's just some cheap rebadged shit which you can pick up under about a dozen other names for the same money or less than the black friday price...
