Lovely looking watch with those splashes of colour, 2004 wasn't it with 2004 pieces made. You must have a decent collection of limited editions by now - you will have to do a SOTC

What's next - ST or the 1957 edition.

    This arrived this morning.
    G-Shock Mudmaster GG-1000-1A5.
Now it may look huge on the photo (bad camera angle!) but it replaces my GWG-1000, which I loved but simply couldn't get on with how ridiculously big it was.
The GG-1000 is still a serious chunk of a watch, but looks great, and wears as well as many larger G's.

That's gorgeous. I've seen a couple of speedmasters recently with unusual colours at the edges and that one is a beaut.

Ed, I've dropped you a PM but for the benefit of others who may be interested, there are some mounting ideas here: https://gasgasbones.forumchitchat.co...pid=1295026664

It has taken a while to find the right one, but I'm very happy with this week's new arrival.

Hard to beat an Orca for a classic, yet fun diver.
Good to see that you bought the best version.

Really the perfect size for me. I've had a few vintage Omegas before, including some F300s, but only kept one (weirdly, the first one I ever got - a heavily patina'd Geneve), this one is definitely a keeper.
Love that, I umm'd and ahh'd over contacting Keith. It was only the fact I already have a blue faced AT already that stopped me.

    @Jamesianbriggs ; @Savvy

Thanks . Now for the confession: It's actually not one of the '04 issued 2004 original pieces, but it is not a 're-dial' or 'conversion' of another normal production Speedy either! In fact it is a piece that is 100% all brand new, custom made up from genuine Omega supplied new service case/dial/hands/movement etc. It's on an original Omega strap and deployant clasp too.

I have two such 'all new parts' Speedies in my roster - this and a Mitsukoshi Panda. Just my way of enjoying pristine versions of these two rare Speedies now, until the real originals are added to my collection.

Personally, I wouldn't enjoy wearing a converted/re-dialled normal production Speedy as it would always in my mind be a 'fake' or Frankenstein watch. Some might think that's prissy and many people do wear modded watches. But I have the Speedy bug pretty bad, and am taking my time to build a top quality collection of what I regard as my top ten Speedies.

So, this and the 'all new' Mitsukoshi Panda I have are there on a temporary basis. I do have one original (from the '04 Japan series of 2004 pieces) reserved for me, which I get in August, so this new piece will soon be displaced by a period original in my collection. How long it takes me to find an original one of the 300 Mitsukoshi Panda's - and what it will cost - is another matter.

Maybe I will do a SOTC note later in the summer, perhaps also sharing what my personal top ten 'Grail Speedies' list is and which of the ten I have so far.

Finally, here's a snap of the 'all new' new Mitsukoshi Panda (pic taken before I re-aligned bezel properly!)

Would love to see a SOTC but if you need time for that, it can wait.
But do share your list of top ten Speedie grails.
That would be an interesting topic.
Is there a theme to your 'want' list (other than being a Speedie) or is it random?
Fine either way but would be interesting to see your list and also to know what other Speedmaster fans think about the topic.

It was listed for sale by a member on another forum. I wanted a 36mm (as the originals were sized) and I wasn't able to find any new super compressor style in this size. 19mm lug width is the only slight negative, but the 18mm fitted in the photo will be OK for now :)

This just arrived today. Gotta say I'm loving it. I quite fancied the version without the logo and the fact that one came up just after I gained access to SC was fantastic. So the piggy bank was raided and it landed on my wrist within 24 hours.

I'm really impressed with the tz-uk forums and should have joined in years ago.

Now however I need to stop looking on SC (for a while) as the boss has asked why I need so many watches and I run the risk of turning into a very poor kid in a sweet shop.

Nice. Good catch. I have mine on a 19mm dimodell rally and it wears equally well on NATO and Pelton I find. Enjoy

This arrived the other day and I have to say I love it, really didnt think I would bond with a TV dial but it has an elegance that most modern watches dont plus its running well too, also nice that it is a few months older than me -

One of only 500 in the world as you know. I managed to find this one from a very good seller in Israel after a long search. He has a friend who may be willing to let one go.

Pity my crappy pictures don't do the watch justice.

My new found love of Casio digitals has swiftly escalated from a F-91W to a GW-M5610 via the Attenborough inspired AW-80 World Time. I'm loving the 5610 so far. I was concerned that the G-Shock may be too big but there is space between the end of the 'lugs' and the edge of my wrist so size wise it's fine (although I wouldn't want to go any bigger). It isn't bulky either so that helps. I love the red line around the dial and the white writing on the bezel area makes the design interesting. Shame it can't do simultaneous display of time and stopwatch or countdown timer but I was aware of this before I bought it. I'm loving the tech and the radio controlled atomic time sync really appeals to my inner geek (and timing ocd). I'll be using this to set my other watches. At RRP I'd be happy but at significantly less via SC (thanks again Karl!!) this is a bargain. Not sure where to go next with Quartz but I am looking at the latest 34mm Swatch Watches!
