AP RO Chrono, picked up from a WTB and a nice easy face to face with Oliver last weekend. It's been on the wrist all week and dare I say it, it's a keeper:

    Nice!!!!

Funnily enough I was eyeing this up on watchclub as an alternative to the white dial Daytona

Thanks! I was looking at the AP RO Panda they have on there too but ultimately went for this one. I’ve actually stopped looking for Daytona’s when going through Schipol now, such is my satisfaction with this

    Just arrived.

A JW Benson that - judging by the hallmarks on the Dennison case - dates from around 1950:

A quick application of Polywatch removed the worst of the superficial scratches on the crystal, and underneath that the dial appears to be in very good condition for what is almost a 70 year old watch. The applied gold numerals are nice and bright and the dial printing remains crisp. The 9ct case is also in smart order, but overall it will clearly benefit from some TLC and a service. That said, what I believe is a variant of the Cyma 162 calibre is ticking away very nicely.

A new strap is clearly called for, though at 15mm and with fixed bars the options appear to be somewhat limited. Anyone know of a good custom maker?

Although small by modern standards it sits very elegantly on the wrist, and the lozenge shaped case is a new departure from the norm for me.

I'll now have to keep my eyes open for a period JW Benson box!

Literally just handed over in a quick face to face amidst refurb chaos - a 1960 birth year Ingy 666. I've been after one of these for a few years now, and I have to say that this one is a beauty; the fact that it's also my birth year is the icing on the cake.

    Better set it now...

I can see why you would have been searching for such a watch, and that looks like a lovely example.

    Very nice indeed!

PMSL - and I was going to post that I was scanning the page and the first thing that got my eye was I thought 'that looks like Tony's wrist, I wonder what watch he's posting' - how frightening is that?

    Great pick up Tony.
