Thought so. I went down the 422 route as I love the power reserve indicator on the back but I love the uncluttered dial on the 372. Enjoy it.

It wasn't an easy choice,I didn't really fancy having an acrylic glass so I was leaning towards the 422 ,but when I realised the new 372 was crystal,I decided to go for it

I'm really impressed with the tz-uk forums and should have joined in years ago.

Now however I need to stop looking on SC (for a while) as the boss has asked why I need so many watches and I run the risk of turning into a very poor kid in a sweet shop.

Beautiful! Just stupidly passed on the GMT last week when I saw it pop up and am trying tell myself the non GMT is what I want.

Now I see this and the struggle goes on.

    Good choice

A belated post of an incoming Speedy, with a HUGE box

Some may have noted my agonising over this, as the chrono hand didn't quite return exactly to 12, which set off my OCD but in the end I got over myself and kept it, so here's the unboxing.

I bought the watch from Iconic, who were very good - delivery was within a couple of days. Here's the big box it arrived in.

    L1020411.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    Then an inner box

    L1020412.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Then another box, this time the real one

    L1020413.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020414.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    Getting closer.....

    L1020415.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020417.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Finally here's the watch, and a plethora of accessories

    L1020419.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    L1020423.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

The warranty was completed, and dated in March. I got this in April so lost a month of so of warranty.

    IMG_0011.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

The bracelet is nice, but I generally prefer straps so I sized it and removed it

    L1020428.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

This on a Steveo ostrich pattern, with a Hirsch deployant, which I think looks nice. Can't say it's a daily wear because I found I use a date on a watch much more than I realised, but it's great to have something different in an office full of subs and ceramic GMT's!

And just to get up to date, here's my Dreadnought!

Nicely packed in a mini pelicase

    L1020432.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    I love the second hand!

    L1020433.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

Comes with the 2 screwdrivers needed for the screwed lugs and links

    L1020435.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

And the lovely, massive bracelet and a nice rubber strap too

    L1020436.jpg by 1mgs, on Flickr

    It's a very formidable watch!

I love the dreadnought, it's a beast of a watch yet wears very well, and I even like the bracelet! Don't think it will go under a shirt cuff, though.

I just received this from Paul Scurfield. Unboxed today and swapped it straight onto an Isofrane strap. I just love the story behind these - Paul is a working commercial diver and has made his own range of watches, in tiny volumes. This 'Bell Diver 1" is his latest design, tested himself from 151 metres on working decompression dives.

Pretty hefty piece at 43mm. Wonderful matt finish on case with mirror polished bevel facet edges. Heliox pressure escape valve, ceramic bezel, domed sapphire crystal, uber-bright blue Superluminova on dial, hands and bezel. Amazing achievement and incredible value for money. Thanks Paul & Alison.

A couple of rare incomings (as in, it's rare that I buy, not that the pieces are particularly scarce):

    Nomos Club II:

    And an SBGF017:

One of the few GS outside the divers that is both 200m WR and equipped with lume. On this model, you get a subtly textured dial and nice capped seconds hand too.

The 7-jeweled 8J56 movement offers a quick-set hour hand and is accurate to about 20 seconds a year. It looks like this naked (not my pictures):

    And sealed:

Contrary to the TZUK popular vote, I really don't think the speedy looks good on leather - well, that was until I saw this - it looks great, really great and I'll be looking into getting a strap like this.

Is it OEM or aftermarket? And what buckle are you using?

    Great choice!

Really love Seiko's textured dials - something that for me sets GS apart. Don't know much about this model, but looks lovely. Doesn't help I am on a quartz phase too.....

Thanks, it was the blue lacquer dial that drew me to it, poorly visible in my photos but rather alluring in real life. There is a bit more information, and better pictures, here http://www.ablogtowatch.com/nomos-ti...club-ii-watch/

(There are so many limited editions of this watch, that like the Speedmaster, the regular model may be the rarest!)

Got this incoming, cheap and cheerful but I'm excited to have another different G10 in the collection. Have loved this dial since I first saw it, will be a birthday pressie from the wife.

I remember thinking WTF!! back in 2003 when the LV was released, but over the years it has come to really grow on me. Finally, today I succumbed and bought a full set from a very friendly seller found through eBay (thanks Duncan if you are reading this). Its an M serial UK sold watch, 2008 so has the rehaut and is very near mint, never serviced and soon to be my daily wearer. No wrist shot as I need to get two links added to the bracelet first.

Looks to have true racing spirit with the coloured speedo needle like second hand. Beautiful condition.

I fancied a cheapie beater digital... and this little Casio A168WA-1Y fitted the bill perfectly! Reminded me of the days as a little lad getting a new digital every birthday with its vintage looks.

Not sure I'd be happy at paying the £40rrp on this one, but for £16 that I nabbed it for, what is not to like! A very light and stylish little watch.

Amazing value - and like you I got given some of these digital marvels. My Dad used to go to Japan a lot and he brought us back lots of cool stuff. I remember breaking pretty much all of them too!

I picked this up from the store on Bond St. today.

I quite like it, I never buy watches at full price but at this price I dont mind at all.

They have one left on store if anyone is interested.

This is so new and unique I think it needs a little write up in WT... with more photos and impressions!

    Looks great!

    It's quartz, I assume?

I imagine the case will last a lifetime.

I'm not enough of a wordsmith or photographer for that I don't think!

It is quartz and the case material is very strange. it feels like plastic in your hands especially due to the lightness but it feels like ceramic when you tap it against your teeth.

I wish the dial wasn't painted or atleast didn't have the fake shadow accents and I would have liked if the numbers on the bezel were lumed too.

at the price though, it feels right for me and I like it very much.

I know this model isn't everyone's cup of tea & TBH I wasn't sure myself. But now it's here & on the wrist. I'm smitten.

I once found myself sat next to one of these on the tube. The guy wearing it had let it get really really battered, and it looked *fantastic*

I love casio digitals, they are my new obsession. Looks great but £16!!!! where from???
