Watch isn’t new, but the bracelet is. Works very well, I think, and beautifully made

    Seiko Marinemaster SBDX001 from 2009.

I bought this off a forum member last year, sold it to another member just a few months later, then bought it back last month.

I'm not a PVD fan but though I'd give this a go, I don't think I'm going to be hanging on to this for long

    New arrival today

Chuffed to have found this out the box example.

I’ve taken off the bracelet and put on my trusted Snoopy strap.

New to me today. I've been waiting for the right Radiomir to come along - I was actually looking out for a 288 (and not really aware of the 098) but really pleased I've gone for this one.

This one arrived a few days ago. It came on the Longines bracelet...I thought, though, it would look better on a leather strap. So this Rios strap came today.

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this but I wanted to give a shout-out to Eddie:
My Trans-Global was ordered on Sunday, shipped on Monday and arrived today (Thursday) in Kuwait.
Absolutely amazing, especially considering that clearing Kuwait customs can be somewhat laborious at times.
I ordered the ice blue and it's stunning. No time for pictures yet but I'll try to post later.

I have just received 50 years old Seiko 3803-7010, in superb condition, freshly full strip movement service,
all new seals, new original crystal, calibrated to perfection.

It's from 1973, movement is old school Seiko 3803A, with 7 jewels, 16 KHz crystal, unusual tipped second hand,
which hit indices like there is no tomorrow !
No backlash on second hand even under big magnification lupe.

I don't have any of 18mm strap or Nato strap, so it's currently on 20mm Nato strap,
correct size blue suede strap ordered.

And the moment of truth on my Horotect tester:

For wristwatch, that is 3 years older than I'm, I think is good enough.

Just landed and super fast too.
I had a hard time choosing which colour but settled on this and I'm not disappointed.

That’s a very clear picture of the Scurfa. How is the reflection on this one? Had one a while back but kept seeing my face in the dial.

It’s as I’d expect, I think. Very impressed with the total package for the price point.

    Black dial Pelagos FXD

Walking past my local Goldsmiths and for sale in the window. Had been to the Omega boutique and just about decided on a new white dial Seamaster but couldn't resist the FXD. First FXD I've ever seen and wears great on my small wrist. Pics later in the week when I pick it up, deposit paid and waiting for the money to appear from a watch I just sold them.

I do think the white is probably the best colour on the royal oaks. You see much more of the detail than the others. I wanted white but wasn’t going to say no to the blue. Enjoy.

    Lovely AP.

Not a new watch by any means, but did the Polident overnight treatment and looks like a new watch now!

That looks great. These early quartzes are often overlooked these days, but they were top of the line back then.
I think this would be close to yours in the catalogue back then (apart from the QT on the dial?). Note that the price is significantly higher than that of a Grand Seiko at the time.

This is the model I have (on the right side of the picture) :

I am super impressed by the quality, accuracy and wearing comfort, dial must be seen in real life to appreciate the execution, the movement on second hand is out of this world, I have never seen anything so precise and stable on any quartz watch.

The seventies were the golden era for Seiko quality quartz watches.

I tried most of the Seamaster 75th anniversary models and came away with the Diver 300. The 300m heritage and the AT are nice too but the dial colour makes it a little hard to read.

I wish they bring back the 2254 bracelet but the micro adjustment of this one makes it very comfortable to wear.

You are very right. And with interesting case styles, different dial colours, quality bracelets, twin quartz etc. they are very much worth collecting. They certainly were Seiko's high end offering in that period and for the most part they are relatively affordable these days.
I'm still hoping to add a 35-9010 to my collection at some point.

This is my second incoming this month, tomorrow will be landing my third one, last one for this year, hope so

It's super rare Citizen D470-T000215, made especially for West Japan Railway Company.

Ultra big numbers, time only. Hours, minutes, seconds.
No date, no second time zone, no stopwatch, no countdown timer...oooo, and super cool light function

Lithium battery, CR2025, fresh one, ready for another 10 years.
