I have a deal agreed locally to buy a Blancpain 2185f.
I had been mulling the possibility of saving for an Air Commander or a Breguet XXI but wasn't actively looking for anything.
The exchange will be next week and it's one I'm really looking forward to owning.
I've tried it on and despite it being a 38mm watch, the lack of bezel makes it very wearable and legible.

    The only downside?
Is I really am going to have considering letting something go from the watch box.
To both belay the Mrs' nagging and to keep the books balanced 🤷*♀️

Thanks chaps, first impressions are very positive. Couldn't get any discount so used the interest free credit. Think it's much nicer than the blue dial version. Screw down crown and 200 m wr too.

Picked up this today, had one, sold it, had a 16600, wanted another 116600 and picked one up today from watches of Whitby. Great experience and staying over nearby for a nice coastal walk tomorrow

    Mappin & Webb Campaign automatic.

Not my usual taste for a number of reasons (coin edge for one), but a nice little piece which diversifies the portfolio a little.

I'll spam a couple of threads with this watch, I think - a 1995 tritium Speedie. Bit of a classic.

IWC 3706 ? Love the inclusion of the Day Date in particular. I don't like Chronograph's much as a rule, but the design for this one is absolutely superb and I could definitely see myself wearing it !

    Congrats !

My Octopus Kraken (No Radiation) 300m Diver has just arrived from China.

The build quality is up there with £2k + Seiko's. Fantastic bezel action. The highly regarded PT5000 high beat movement is running to +3 seconds with 0.2 beat error straight out of the box. Brilliant.

The latest Marinemaster SLA045 aquasition is the nicest mm300 I've owned.

New arrival today 39mm version courtesy of Iain. It sits very nicely on the wrist and not too heavy.

Am loving it. Very wearable, surprisingly. Love the wide bezel. Will definitely get the Ti at some point.

Been after one of these for over a year, Finally got a decent one at a very good price.

It'll be on the Friday thread no doubt

Watch would have been with me on the 20th or 21st had I a) been in the country at the time and b) paid the customs fee on the day I received it.

It's no AP Star Wheel, but then it wasn't £36k either...

After having almost killed my Fortis last week whilst roller skating with my kids, I thought it wise to grab a cheapy to wear whilst doing potential watch-destroying activities.

Enter a cheapy Cronos Explorer homage; 36mm and really very good indeed. It'll no doubt look a lot worse after a few rough and tumble weekends out.

    Does me though.

It’s not new but it’s fresh back from a badly needed service, the crystal has had a good clean and polish and the original insert is now installed.

I think this might get a fair bit of wear this weekend as I have always loved it. Thick chunky, heavy and very retro.

I've wanted an Oris for a long time and the Divers 65 since I first saw it. Thanks to member RS404 for helping me find this one.

Picked up my first Oris Divers 65 a couple of days ago. Love it! That high gloss gilt dial and bronze bezel.

I think I was very lucky in tracking down what is likely the last NOS bezel insert for these on the planet!
I think it will hang off wearing it until tomorrow as I am off to the pub tonight….

A very unexpected arrival this week.

well over a year ago I bought a vintage mk4.5 speedy from Andy Tims as watch only, fast forward over a year and Andy sends me a message saying he had found the box and papers along with a few spare links for the bracelet.

Needless to say I am chuffed to bits and very touched that he made contact and offered them to me.

    Cheers,

    Ben

    Literally just arrived by DHL,

Another one I owned and sold but regretted it.

    It's absolutely mint

And no it's not the one from SC.

Opposite end of the spectrum. I happen to see this in the window whilst passing by the Casio store, and as we are away on our jollies next week I thought it'd make an ideal beach/pool/dossing watch.

I'd have preferred the hardwear on the orange strap to be black, but it's fine for somethings that's only going to be worn for a week or two

Both houses have been a bit sickly lately and put a delay on meeting.

    After much searching and deliberation.
I recently purchased this beautiful IWC.
Not new - except for me as it’s from the 50’s also like me.

But this quite literally could be the last watch I shall buy or need.
