You’re welcome! The watch really does IMHO offer incredible quality and value for money. I’m sure the rest of the range does too!

Very happy with this. Been on my "list" for many years. Gives off a proper tool watch vibe, and if I ever find myself 2000m under the sea, I'll be sorted!

    It's a lovely watch Celia.

I used to collect them. Sold them to fund my first Panerai just over 20 years ago.

Some nice watches on the page!

THis arrived today. From 2000, and it's nice to have an older Panerai back on my wrist.

First Seiko in years, and first Tortoise - sits on the wrist oddly to me, compared to others - but something I guess I'll get used to.
Well finished and the the lume is great!

Here’s my latest incoming and there a couple of themes behind it. My mother in law has developed an interest in Cyma watches, having unearthed a pocket watch that belonged to a long-dead family member. She’s hunting for a dirty dozen but also has a recent Cyma quartz model she uses as a beater alongside her Omega Constellation ‘best’ watch.

Recently she stumbled over this and knowing I have a small collection of 1960s and 70s watches alongside my main collection, gave it to me last week:

It’s a Cyma Navystar automatic - a 35.5mm (excluding crown) steel case with 18mm lugs, containing a Cyma in-house R480 movement: 27 jewels and patented Cymaflex shock protection. I’ve not found much info on the Navystar so far other than the model was launched in the sixties. I’d estimate my watch as most likely from the 1970-72 period. It came to me on an aftermarket bracelet with a slightly bent bottom right lug which I have corrected and fitted a period style leather strap from my straps box:

Here it is on the wrist:

I’m unlikely to wear it a great deal but think the brushed silver dial really could benefit from a bold coloured strap. Perhaps burgundy?

And here it is in the box with my other 60s/70s watches:

Speedmaster 3861 Sapphire, great watch with fantastic history, lovely winding action & vintage nods, however I found the dial to not be that legible when using the chrono function & couldnt get a good fit on the new bracelet. I felt it wore large and flat, and whilst the slim bezel sparkled lovely in the light, it did make the dial seem large. Also & it might have been me, I found the hands and painted dial to be a let down for it's price point -

    Returned.

Monaca Steve McQueen, one watch I've admired for a long time, love the look face on, I can get past the basic non in house movement & also being square, think it adds to its charm. Loved the light play in the polished bits on the bezel. Nice chrono function and legible! However wearing a few days, it was very brick like and almost like my Panerai where I was glad to put the BB58 back on. Very much a marmite watch & one my other half hated yet was coming round to. Feel the black strap needed to be blue, but even after a few days I was enjoying the vintage vibes. Biggest issue apart from wear was looking at it on the crown side just seemed very slab sided (yes I know a factor of the square case).

Returned (I may live to regret this one)

    Carrera Elegant WoS Ltd Ed

One I kept coming back in the AD, oddly not much publicity around this watch (only 250 made - 125 on strap 125 on bracelet). Pictures dont really do it justice and some images come across as a beige dial in the flesh it pops, wears very nice for a 42mm, seems to be smaller then the Speedy and Monaco yet it isn't. Impressed by the Heuer 02 movement, rotor does act like a fidget spinner sometimes but not as bad at the 7750 valjoux Breitling of my dads. Rallye strap is nice although no taper like the Monaco. Bracelet is incoming but not much to right home about.

Unsure if this is the one or I may go back to the Monaco.

Hindsight is wonderful Monaco now back, but overall think I should've stuck with the Speedy - especially the price that they now are. Oh well.

Cracking trio! I'd be keeping my Zenith chronomaster if I didn't have the Ming chrono. I have to say, chronos are so addictive.

Really delighted with this pick up. Seiko SLA033.
I started in the hobby with vintage Seiko and always missed my 6105, so this has re-scratched the itch!

This Citizen Crystron LC is not much of a recent incoming as I have had the watch for a while but it needed a new module which I finally found. I love the serifs on the digits and also the colours on the pushers. Somebody took the time to think about the design of this.
