No it's not, not even close......this is, of course, a personal opinion. But Grand Seiko have made numerous superb dials, and numerous more interesting designs. Some of the modern GMTs, just for a start. The Snowflake suffers the flaw of all the spring-drives, that ugly power reserve dial. The daft thing is that the spring-drive is such an efficient winder that it doesn't need a power reserve. Just an hour or two a day of use is enough.
Still an excellent watch. As are many GS models.

Been a long time on my “scratch that itch” list. Always loved Sinn and this U1 doesn’t disappoint.

Sadly it did, John. I'd wanted a DD for some time but nothing was going to compete with this one.

Got a Zelos Hammerhead bronze with blue dial incoming, might be a few weeks plus the customs charges but I've had my eye on one for a while. Would have loved the meteorite dial but had to keep it within a budget.

Awesome, please post some photos if you get chance. I would have gone for the abyss if they had any left. Unfortunately the abyss 2 is over budget and they had no steel hammerhead left, which I think are really striking!

Thanks! I am quite impressed with my wife to pick a decent looking watch that I like! Plus,it has been engraved which is a nice touch. Not my most expensive watch but this one is a keeper.

Tudor Black Bay Steel on the Green cloth NATO it comes with. Purchased with bracelet but I don’t think it will get a look in. A little brother to go with my 79220b blue ETA. Nice to have both versions.

Thanks :D it's the Moser Pioneer Center Seconds (in Steel).
Lusted for one after seeing the basel launch, then I was lucky enough to sit in on a meeting with Moser and had a chance to get up close with a variety of different pieces, which pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Recent arrival swopped onto the fabric strap today. Much prefer it to the leather surprisingly.

Had the pleasure of seeing the moser. It's one of the nicest dials I've seen. Blooming lovely watch that everything is just right on imo.

Apart from the domed crystal, making the watch 14.7 mm thick, perhaps?

Every time I see a Moser I just think how they seem to understand 'less is more' and execute it so very well. The Pioneer is a case in point and maybe a contender for the perfect one watch with a variety of straps, a Moser bracelet would be interesting too. Waaay nicer than the Aquanaut imo Maybe it's time to consolidate or invest....
