TAG, and certainly Quartz TAG don't get a lot of love around here, but this is a limited edition (of only 200) in a superior colour/ dial configuration that I found at a reasonable price... Let's see how it goes!

    Totally agree!

And generally I'm really happy with all the Tags I had from time to time in my collection. Now I still have two (a Tag 2000 exclusive chrono in black) and a Tag aquaracer auto in blue and love both of them.

I kind of agree. The DLC on Stein cases tends to be fine but not so much the bracelet so the bracelet went straight in the box and onto leather

My first ever Citizen arrived yesterday, bought here on the sales corner from a great tz-er. Think this one will get plenty of wrist-time.

This is what I hate about this site. That Watchgecko recommendation just cost me £52. LOL.

2x Zuludiver Nato's 1x Perforated Buffalo and an Ascot Alligator.

By the way, free nato's to be had at the moment for orders over £50.

That looks a cracker Rusty, big fat font insert and I love the caseback - very early.

The down side for me is 39mm and the cyclops, although I have never tried a 39mm Steinhart on, so might be okay.

You will need to do a SOTC or a specialist thread on Steinhart at some point.

Will do. The 39 is actually the attraction for this one, since most were 42. I think this was made by Steinhart USA. Boxed but no papers but i think maybe 2007? Steinharts I had 8....sold them all, and now after incomings will be 11 lol. Some unusual ones in there so yeah I think a SOTC for them might be in order once postman finished . Cyclops ez to remove. Actually the only one I have with a cyclops I think.

It's funny how things turn out.
I've been looking for something a bit different to the usual black or blue faced models. Still need a white or silver dial but have been searching for something else for ages, trying the odd thing here and there but nothing has quite been right.
A few months back a watch I've looked at a few times again came on my radar, got offered a couple but the size and in particular the thickness and weight kept putting me off. Still in a moment of madness I pushed the button and went for it. So here it is, the colourful option I've been looking at. Yes it weighs a ton and is very thick. However it wears so much better than I thought it would and the height isn't an issue which is totally surprising as it's pretty much the same as a new PO and I couldn't live with that (must be the shape and how the bezel sits on the cushion case maybe?)
I give you my new to me Stowa Prodiver

I’d been wanting a nice example of an old Quartz Seiko for a while and this popped up on SC and arrived this week from Guy (Bodo). Top chap to deal with.

A 1982 7548-7000, now on a very comfortable original Tropic.

This arrived today from the bay although it needs a new strap as the original rubber one is perishing on the sides.
I’m thinking of a softer rubber one as the incumbent one doesn’t fit my wrist properly and makes the watch look much too big for me. I’m really pleased with the purchase although am not sure what strap to get as the width is 21mm at the case end although 19mm at the deployment clasp. The deployment clasp isn’t fastening positively as I can’t get the rubber strap to flatten out. I am there for tempted to buy a rubber strap with a buckle instead.

Thoughts and comments very welcome as are suggestions where to get a nice replacement strap.

    Thanks in advance

Here but seems like they only had one.

    http://www.upchurchjewellers.co.uk/brands/bremont

In rather chuffed because I bought this for a pretty decent £2680 and four months or so before that I got an ALT1-Z for the same price during Beaverbrooks sale.

    WatchGecko goodies

I got home from work tonight to this little box of goodies

Ordered online on Saturday with free postage for delivery in 3-5 working days, so very surprised to see them here today. Lots of freebies like cleaning cloth, lug ruler and 3 free spring bars for each strap.

First up, a brown leather natostrap from zuludiver for the moonwatch

Next, a Bond Nato from zuludiver

& finally for the Moonwatch is a little black leather number

And now a black leather strap with red stitching for my SKX007

I have to say the dial finishing, the polishing and quality are just average. But it is the case design, the extra BIG crown and domed sapphire that I really like.
