Thread: Vintage Heuer chronograph

    Vintage Heuer chronograph

My first dabble with vintage Heuer. It is a manual wind (Valijoux 72) Carrera Heuer 2447NT Tachy from the mid 1960's. I am rather taken by it.

Very nice John, I've had many vintage old Heuers but never that reference... Miss my old 1158 CHN still.

Well this beauty is one of my two grail chronograph watches, the other is the similar omega seamster.
    Nice one.

That is such a crisp looking design it is hard to believe its age.
    Superb choice.

Thank you Russell. Would still prefer a 2447S...but this one will tide me over until I find one.

    Beautiful watch.

Truly a classic piece and how a chronograph should look.

Congratulations, one I shall join the fold :)

I'm not usually attracted to Heuer watches but I like that classic.

Absolutely gorgeous; I love how, even though it's a chronograph, it still has a really clean, uncluttered look

It's interesting to me how similar some 60-ish swiss chronos look, here's my choice

Love this. What a great looking watch. I picked up a "poor mans heuer" Hamilton off the SC the other week as my first venture in to vintage chronographs, there's something charming about the size, weight and looks. Now I find myself looking for more...
