Hancock's half hour - the missing episodes

Caught the first one 'Matador' on Radio 4 this afternoon on the way back from Tamworth and laughed like a drain! Made the M42 disappear - I'd totally forgotten the genius of those scripts, and the fella voicing Tony was sublime.

If you missed it get it on iPlayer - absolute gold.

Yeah saw this, big Hancock fan here so will be listening.

I actually think that Hancock is better on the radio than TV.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Totally. TV didn't allow for the flights of fancy

Yes, a man born for Radio, in the same way that the Goon Show was. Great these, as another Hancock fan I'll be making sure I don't miss these...

Had a listen, thoroughly enjoyed it.

The bloke who voiced Hancock was absolutely brilliant!

The Kenneth Williams was very good, the Bill Kerr Australian accent was a little bit overdone and I didn't think the Sid James voice was very good at all but it's great to have a chance to hear these.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

I'm not sure he tried doing Sid James but, as you say, it didn't matter. Wonderful stuff and the jokes held up. Classic comedy.

Caught it on radio 4 yesterday and ok one could say that the voices were sometimes off, but really that's just being way too critical and missing the point, it was a great show and very very funny.

    Bring them on
