Seiko 5 for £52 on Amazon

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...e_epc__1p_0_ti

Just a wee heads up of an e-mail from Amazon this morning for the Seiko fans out there

    Cheers

They're always around that price level,

    Cheaper on Creation

    http://www.creationwatches.com/produ...k807-1712.html

And they also have the sand dialled, and green dialled versions for the same price

Not being a Seiko fan wasn't sure, just assumed it was a good deal for those who may have been interested

    Cheers

They were available on Amazon a few months ago for around £45 - always best to shop around. Very decent watch

The black and green ones are still around that price this morning.

Yes, they are sometimes as cheap as £45 from Amazon.

This is amazing value. Where else can you buy a quality automatic watch for this money? And I did say quality.
    Every home should have one.

    A classic.

I wore mine for the first time yesterday, I've had the snxs blue faced watch for a year or so but never actually got round to wearing it, as I just didn't have the right strap.
I love this watch, so simple and comfortable but the best thing about it is the lovely blue dial.

I am going to buy the blue faced one for my 9 year old as his first proper watch.

£54 will get you an SNSX79

Here is mine with Explorer style dial and hands. Duncan pressure tested it when he carried out the mods - something he would not normally do with a watch of this sort, however such is his confidence in these great little Seikos........

I was tempted for a while then I checked the Creation Watches price and reverted back to my original plan of getting one in 2015.

It's a great base-watch for mod projects, as your watch illustrates. Especially as all Seiko hands fit each-other so you can just swap them around and get some great looking designs. Although I quite like the standard hands on the watch (it's just the base dial that is pretty ugly - yours is a great replacement).

Earlier in the year I posted a picture of it next to Zeno and Alpha Explorers and a number or people preferred it to both of these

Due to an unexpected cash shortage I put it up for sale recently - however I came to my senses in time to avoid losing it

The Seiko actually comes pretty close to the Explorer I

I found mine on ebay for £50 with a best offer option, offered 45 and it was accepted and then ebay gave me a £15 voucher for shopping in their 'fashion section', so my SNK809 owes me £30 and on a weathered leather Nato looks great in my opinion!

As a daily wearer to be used and abused you can't really go wrong. I wear a similar looking Citizen Eco Tough which is a nice alternative but usually retails at around £99
