    Excellent Born!

Your detailing is stunning, I never fail to be impressed!

The markings on the Breitling grabbed my attention and awe immediately, but the more I look at the others, the more I notice other, more subtle, but just as fantastic detailing such as the dials' textures on the Benzinger

    p.s. Nice Forum Eddie :D

    Griff,

99% of the paintings shown are commisisoned works (i.e. the commissioners paid me to paint what they would like.)

At the moment only the Glashuette one is left for sale.

If you're interested, please email me at born13@rocketmail.com Thanks.

    Regards,
    Born

Love the redness of the dial, cannot explain why, makes it interesting.
And love the way it seems to ?rise? behind the horizon ...
I am glad you avoided the 10-past-10 smiley horror.
You are definitely becoming more organic. I enjoy your work. :D

I think you should show it to Omega, they can't fail to want it for their brochure. Another simply magnificent work of art.

Isn't it showing the actual time of "footdown" - at least in one timezone :?

As to showing itto Omega, I would love to. But this is, as others, are commisioned work, so I don't think I can allow anyone to reproduce it.

Of course you can. Just get written permission from the owner, and collect the appropriate royalty from the third party :D

Very impressive as always, Born. Your versatility with subjects is amazing. By the way, was the horse and rider meant to represent somebody in particular or just a general picture?

    Another update:

    Hi,

Finally, my gallery got updatded again. The new 7x10 inch painting features an issued Hamilton on the theme of the Vietnam war. It is named "Timeless Brothers", and is commissioned by a gentleman in the US.

I try to capture a somewhat surreal scene of the soldiers coming back from the war and find that nobody forgets them. The soldiers, painted as humans rather than a group of statues in the Vetnam Memorial represent the past. The memorial wall and the man who stands in front it represent the present. The watch and the pavement perspective link the past to the present. The sombre lighting is intended to be ambiguous and is a cross between cool nighttime in Washington and hot sunset in Vietnam.

    I hope you like it.

    Regards,
    Born

    enjoy your anniversary!

    Jeroen

  45. #45

    Yup

    It certainly is...Well spotted !!!

As explained in another post somewhere else..

I had it from new until recently...

It was immaculate until one day my neighbour (who thought he was being helpful) tried to move it for me. He dropped it.... It was never the same for me after that and I sold it shortly after. I now ride a Harley (FLSTS)

    Cheers

it's a triple.... the painting scheme on the tank, the shape of the engine....

    well known..

I currently own 2,5 of those..... all spare parts to keep the one I bought in 1979 running....

to have a wedding like that must be a beautiful memory......

    Hi
It's time for another gallery update. This time it is a Sinn 103 Ti AR with a Eurofighter Typhoon. The 7x10" painting is simply named "Typhoon"
I use lighting and stormy weather as a background to give the picture some energy and dynamics, and to be in line with the name of the plane. Hope you like it.
