    Agree, the trailer looks great.
Hope it isn't another Inglorious Basterds, which I didn't enjoy.

It's American so expect all the same words used in every other American war film.

    Sir yes Sir.

    Go Go Go.

    Give em hell.

And the list could go on and on and..........yawwwn.

Was filmed in the next village from me and the P51 was kept at the base I'm at and we got a good look around it, a couple of times I drove out the village I came face to face with a Sherman tank!!

It was intense. Depressing. Well done, IMHO. Not light fare, for sure.

    I recommend it.

According to Wikipedia it was filmed in Watlington, Pyrton and Shirburn

The plot seems a bit grim, not unlike Saving Priving Ryan. Well worth a viewing I think.

Interesting that they used the last remaining functional Tiger from WW2

To me the adverts make it appear the same ( probably intentionally), but I don't think Tarantino is linked with it.

Was at the premiere (clang!), walked down the carpet next to Brad and everything.

It's a tense, gripping action film, so go and see it for what it is. Lots of explosions, testosterone and nazi killing. There is a small amount of subtlety towards the tragedy of war and the situation of the men, but it's overshadowed by the preposterous fighting and "Americans won the war single-handedly" approach. Some people thought Brad dominated the film as a character as well, which I'd agreed with.

Having said that, I enjoyed it and it held my attention for 2 1/4hrs which is rare. Give it a go but don't expect anything nuanced.

The set pieces / effects are stunning though, and the brutality does hammer home the futility and violence of war.
