I'm not overly concerned. I'll worry about it if I need to. Afterall we are talking about something that may never be needed.

A very good point, you know I've never heard of a GS going back for a warranty repair?!
I suppose it must happen, just never heard of one.

(There is of course no way for Creation to source GSs if it's not from an AD, whether or not the warranty card is stamped.)
I have bought other SEIKO watches from them and Creation has always stamped the warranty card themselves. Try googling them and you will find some very worrying threads about how they handle warranty issues. Grand SEIKO writes explicitly in the warranty papers that the warranty is only valid if the warranty card is stamped by an AD.

And as a bonus I think one of the new style Tag Aquaracer 300M in blue is arriving today as well. I think it's going to be a good day :)

The case is usually a bit on the thick side.
If you only use your watch at the office it will stop during weekends and require re adjusting.
Weekends shouldn't be a problem. SBGR051 has 72 hrs power reserve.

Depends where you get it from. I paid £2060 from Creation Watches plus whatever duty and VAT i get caught for. If you buy it from Jura (authorised dealer in the UK) they have it listed for £3,300!

That's lovely, congrats on your choice. Grand Seikos are finished superbly, it'll be a while before you tire of looking at it.

Looks awesome and it has a great pop to the dial, along with the beautifully finished steel.

Superb. Great choice... congratulations! One of my favour watches of all time. Its just so perfect in any situation. The quality and subtlety of design for GS, regardless of which model, simply can't be communicated via a photograph.

It really is a beautiful watch. If anybody is thinking about getting one of these I can highly recommend it!

I just checked and it is running +2 seconds for the last 24 hours.

It's a really versatile watch Binsull - a private, quiet pleasure which will never feel out of place, however many decades you own it.
Don't be surprised if it becomes the centre of gravity of your collection and the watch against which you compare all others. Never sell it - unless you have to.

Funny you should say that but this is probably the first watch I have received that I cant see myself selling. Definitely one to keep.

Anyone else want to quote Binsull's photo?
I don't think we've seen enough replications of it yet, FFS!
