I look forward to seeing what is posted. And in an era of high-tech this and wizz-bang that an ideal accompaniment to a single speed bike.
This is the thread for pure, undiluted, unfettered classicism.
No sports watches allowed. No divers, no 'tool' watches (what a hideous phrase that is). And dammit no complications of any kind. No chronographs, alarms, tachy-whatevers, depth gauges, tidal predictors, altitude readers or heart monitors. And definitely nothing digital.
A date is, grudgingly, permissible.
So gather round all you discerning gentleman...pull up a parker-knoll recliner, enjoy a Werther's and enjoy time as it used to be.
Here goes...

A classic...
Not sure if glitter is considered a complication...

Oh two more
I think this rather modern interpretation has classic lines...
What a marvellous display of restrained good taste. I applaud you gentlemen
Something a lot classier the it's owner.
On another thread we had people posting pics of chunky sports chronographs on a dress-watch thread, so what's wrong with this one. Hey, in my mind, it's a classic, and it tells the time ;).

not just time.
Like it though.
More so the time onlys in the responses, sorry.

Here's my contribution to this topic: a GO 1845 and a vintage 1950s Smiths.
I used to own this. I can barely bring myself to look at it now such is the sense of loss (although I do have first buy-back option from the current owner). But I'm sure you agree it deserves to be in this thread:
And I do still have this:

My Railmaster and a drop of Glenrothes:
Surprised, not a single PP Calatrava
A classic and as simple as time only gets
Seeing as how date is just about permissible, here are some that I own or have owned...
A nice cheapy homage with a Seiko movement
My kind of watches in a way… I'll try to stay away from black faces here.
Oh, all right then… I let one black faced one slip in.
Not sure what a 'sports watch' is, but none of these have any complications :

Seeing as there was the reissue of the Longines Silver Arrow above, could I proffer my original from 1957:
lousy lighting, but lovely JLC auto K88x movement:
gone but was intriguing cal.469 manual wind:
