    Aldi winter cycling collection went on sale today
    it's not assos - but it's good for the winter commute!

    Bought some tights, top, and base layer last year £28 in total. Yes pading in tights is basic, but everything is still going strong. Great value.

    Yes i have nice gear for summer, but grit rain ruins good gear , this is were the Aldi stuff scores.

    Cheers for the heads up. Could do with a few new base layers. Got some bib longs last year and the quality seemed canny for the money, unfortunately they were waaaay to big and couldn't be chuffed to take them back.

    No experience of the cycling clothing, but their Crivit (sp?) range of motorbike clothing has proven to me to be excellent VFM and comes highly recommended from lots of other bikers.

    thanks for the heads up - I need to stock up on gloves, which I seem to lose too regularly.

    Lobster cycling glove thinsulate £8
    Ans finally a hannibal lecter balaclava £5

    Missus saw the cycling pants and despatched me to buy some for her
