    Sample 2-piece nylon

I got the sample through today and it's a substantial strap. The loop on the stock item will be solid dark blue, not striped.

I like the look of that. Is it a deployant clasp?

    You really don't know?

  4. #4
I was angling for a response.

Something along the lines of "Yes, deployant clasp, wide range of widths and colours, £10 each"

You'd struggle to buy the clasp for a tenner, I had to pay a bit extra to get it bead-blasted.

I know girth is generally considered more important, but:

    length, please!

Plenty long enough: short side is 90mm and the "hole" side is 130mm with up to 70mm adjustment via the 11 holes.

I've just adjusted it for my 8" wrist and the clasp is set in the middle hole so I reckon it will fit up to 9.5" and down to 6.75".

One of those in the new grey colour would be an excellent strap for the 18Q.

It'd be excellent for most dive / mil watches and probably better suited to a Damasko 36 than the OEM bracelet

Somewhere else ;-). I'm only making them in 20mm initially.

Any even vague ETA on these, Eddie?

  24. #24
How have you done that?! That's for MY watch, Jusr as it is, Superb I'll have the proto. Bought a Mercedes SLK watch on here with a maroon leather its a bit tatty That would suit it to the ground.

After wearing it I noted that the clasp is slightly off-centre on my wrist and would be on the side of the wrist on a smaller wrist. I spoke with the manufacturer and suggested that the clasp side be made shorter and the "hole" side correspondingly longer. They were due late October but I'm waiting to see if the change will delay things.

Thanks a bunch. Strap looks really good, but with the initial 9cm on clasp side the pencil wrist crowd would be really sad. For my sake it could shaved down to 70/75mm just like on your canvas straps :)

Then it won't fit the gorillas and there's more gorillas than chimps. Making two sizes isn't an option, given the minimum quantity orders involved.

Understood - 80mm will probably be a good compromise, I've seen quite many regular straps with 82/115 (120) distribution, but maybe the clasp changes something. It's been years since I used my "double clasps" on a regular strap, but seem to remember that they were sensitive to correct length of the buckle side. Will the strap also come in a normal buckle version?

Here's the pictures of the modified strap and you can see that when sized for a 7.5" wrist, the clasp is central.

It was due this month but modifying the size will delay it a couple of weeks.

Eddie et all just sent back a very well made two piece nylon as I found the underside where the seal is well was just annoying no rubbing or chaffing but just "there" anybody else had this?
Nice looking strap but I think I will stick to a one piece nylon in future.

Indeed, at 20mm it'll be great on the Speedbird. I hope a 22mm well follow as the orange might work well on the Dreadnought.
