Welcome would love to see your collection, especially the Amphibians and military chronos.
Hi
I'm "longbear" - mid 40's - Copenhagen - been interested in watches since mid 90's -and actively collecting since 2006.
Like many of you I'm a member of a few fora already; atg, mwr, flyingtime, chronomania, o&p plus 2 danish sites. One would think that was sufficient, but recently I've found myself reading posts on TzUk quite often, and would like to chime in. With tapatalk it is also a breeze to keep track of multiple fora.
I have a collection of post war military chronographs plus a 5513, so the BMW section will probably be where I "belong".
Further my interest in contemporary watches have risen within the last few months, in the lines of micro brand/homage and maybe even some Amphibia modding which looks like a lot of fun.
Ok - and to be honest I also miss the ability to browse the sales corner from time to time.
That's it - cheers
/Lars
Welcome would love to see your collection, especially the Amphibians and military chronos.
You seem to be a nice bloke. Welcome.
Welcome aboard Lars,
If you need new (well secondhand) clothes or a new cooker then SC will be available soon enough!
Welcome, it would be interesting to see some of your collection.
Hey Lars, I warn you, the SC is dangerous!
Johnny.
Velkommen, Lars. Another Scandinavian is always a great addition!
Hi Lars - good to see you over here.
I am sure you'll fit right in (once you post some photos.....).
Dave (DaveS on ATG)
BTW Lars' collection of military chronos is something to drool over
Welcome to the forum Lars.
I am very thrilled to know somebody else from Copenhagen is now on this forum ;-)
But remember, pics, or it didn't happen...
Welcome to the forum. There's a lot more to the place than BMW!

Velkommen (fra en anden københavner)!
Welcome.
Looks like a few of us in CPH
Hello Lars
welcome to the forum :)
Thanks for the warm welcome - from both old and new friends.
I haven't purchased a contemporary watch for the last 14 years, so no Amphibian mods yet - but they will hopefully come.
Having pursued "rare" military watched in 8 years, some of the fun stuff drowns in endless searching, verification of authenticity, concerns for damage etc. further the collection have reached a critical mass where the missing watches are difficult to find or priced so I need to think 2 or 3 times before the trigger is pulled eg Breguet T20.
The mili-chrono collection will stay, but more fun than changing straps is needed - so yes Johnny, a dangerous place like SC is welcome.
Pics yes sue - are you aware how painful this was with tapatalk, why the h... is it so difficult to link to eg picasa from within safari?

Lovely collection :)
Great collection and welcome to the forum Lars.
Welcome aboard
Welcome from Hollannd as well.
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Hi Lars
Another welcome from a fellow dane and frequent guest on TZ-UK :-)
Welcome, thanks for posting pictures of your collection, nice to see some more unusual watches.
Welcome! Is there a story behind the drunk lume painter one or do you just mean the lume is sloppy?
There are a fair number (but not all) of the Zenith Cairelli's that have had the lume painted onto the dial by hand, it seems, and not a very steady one at that. The lume wanders off the outline of the numerals, stops early or oversails the ends. Not terrible, and not on every numeral, but a mistake or two on the dials.
But it is not universal, some (from photos only, I have only ever seen one Cairelli) are perfectly okay.
I must admit I didn't know it had developed a nickname.
Dave
Cairelli - a true classic Milwatch. Lovely.
But I think my favourite there is the J88/011 - such a unique watch. And so cool at the same time.
Hi and welcome nice watches . Like the vixa and dodane. Never heard of dodane before.
Hi Lars, and welcome! The Vixa and the Dodane make my heart flutter.
Hello and welcome!
Enjoy your staying in this friendly place!
Welcome!
That Heuer on the green NATO is lovely.
Thanks for the nice comments about the collection and the additional welcome's
Two of my absolute favourites as well. The French chronos are a joy to collect as their backs usually are full of FG (fin de guarantee) markings showing a long life of military service - in that sense they are unique. The Vixa has a Hanhart movement but was most probably caed in France. The Dodane came in a number of different variation - the early with Valjoux 222, later with 23x + small dial variations.
Name created for the occasion :) the Rolex crowd has so many fancy nicknames why shouldn't we. I'll send Cairelli DLP to IWNA (International Watch Nickname Association) later today for approval. Thx for providing the background info on the DLP's.

Thanks for the info guys!
Welcome to TZ :-)
Love that fantastic collection of military chronos, especially that last Lemania with the faded bezel.
Welcome Lars , good to have a Dane aboard and what a great collection !
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
Welcome Lars, from another Dane. Seems we are well represented here :-)
Rgds, Mads
Welcome Lars, great to see the collection in one hit - fabulous focus and perseverance to get these beauties under one roof - commendable and inspirational!
cheers, Andy (ATGer)
Welcome to the forum . That's a beautiful collection of military chronos you have there and the 5513 isn't bad either. Is there such a thing as a Danish air force issue watch - is it something you've investigated?
Welcome to TZ :-)
Welcome to the forum! And happy new year soon.
Welcome Lars.......love the Zenith and the Leonidas.........
David
wow love the Leonidas!
thanks Andy - that was almost a vintage thread you dug out - good to see you here as well.
Thanks C.B., Yes I investigated the faith of watches issued to the danish armed forces some time ago. They had some Excelsior park chronographs issued in the late 50's early 60's plus various stop watches and distance measurement tools from Minerva and Heuer. Most was issued to the Navy and are marked "HMARK", "SØVÆRNET" or the Danish crown. Not many of the watches survived - the rumor is that the contracts included a clause that the watches should be destructed after active use, and not be sold to the public. At some point Antiquorum mis-listed a Norwegian "luftforsvaret" Heuer, as beeing an issued danish AF watch, why danish collectors (me included) started looking hi and low. Later I found out the sad fact that it was just a norwegian watch. Below a couple of the issued stopwatches / tachy meters lifted out of an danish thread. Photo credit to "Camaro" and "Bjørn H."
Thanks. Arhh the "Bademester-thread" still makes me smile. What did you end up with: a "boring" professional diver waith for cold water diving with the boys, OR a stylish diver icon that grant you access to warm sandy beaches in the south of europe together with Jacques Cousteau, me and some kind woman?
thanks
thanks -The Zenith and Leonidas are also among my favorites.
Thanks - i'll be on my guard - DEFCON 1
