    Show your Springdrives!

I'm aware of several owners on the forum, but as far as I know there's never been a thread?

    Let's see if this works.

Sure, it's actually playing something decent by Paul Desmond at the moment, what will they think of next, those Japanese!

Just this one. It looks huge, compared to the Rolex, but that's because it's just closer to the camera! (No, wait - it's huge.)

It said "show your Springdrives" in the title of the thread, not, show your silly fruits of the keyboard.

Just bought from AMJ Watches, GMT is my preferred complication:

Excellent guys to deal with (but SagePay sucked).

Something about Spring Drives messes up the camera focus it would seem....

  16. #16
I must confess to owning three of them...
    SBGE001 GMT
    SBGA011 Snowflake
    SBGA031 Diver

    Which is my favourite?
Tricky one that. I guess the diver...., but I wear the Snowflake as a dress watch, and the GMT when I go abroad.

    Oh yes..... Very nice.
I usually prefer the date window to be in the '3' position. But on this watch between the 4 and 5 is just right, so it keeps all the hour markings.
    Lovely.

It looks like they used some style elements of this model in the later Seiko Presage series.

    Lovely watch indeed.

It's good to know that end up with a fellow TZer. I umm'd and ahh'd about buying this from AMJ for over a week but I couldn't get there to try it on and it is a very distinctive profile and fairly big so I decided to pass. Kept coming back to it though and sort of relieved in the end when it was sold. I hope you enjoy it.

Great thread by the way and I hope it keeps growing as I'm still trying to decide which spring drive I want to get so this thread is very interesting. Leaning towards the SBGE001 (though I really like the limited green version) but I'm also drawn to the 'budget' Landmaster SBDB005 maybe simply because it is so different to anything I've ever owned.

Does the sgba031 titanium have an adjustable bracelet like the SubC. Thought I read that somewhere.

    Wow!

Quite a few more than I expected, and some real unexpected ones.

SD is very much alive I guess.

I will admit it is a bit of a lump but the finishing is very nice for what I paid. Styling and detailing is undoubtedly Oriental rather than European or Transatlantic.

I wondering where to take my watch collection next, good Swiss/German or try the Japanese used market for something like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTHENTIC-...item3ce0b895fc
