Cheap(ish) non-diver watch for NATO wear with 20mm lugs?

I've got a stack of 20mm nylon and leather NATOs in a variety of colours lying around doing nothing, so I'm looking for suggestions as to what to buy to wear them with.

It'll be for occasional use as a grab and go, so quartz may be best although I'm not against an auto. I have two Omega POCs so I'm after something other than a diver really, but still suited to NATOs - maybe something air force inspired? Budget is £500-ish, give or take.

    Any ideas folks?

Citizen Nighthawk? Solar and radio controlled, so it should always be running and ready to go:

(that's not the radio-controlled model, but it's on a NATO)

Any aviation type watch really. How about a 29B.

edit.. I got this pic from google - but it links to an excellent review of the 29 A/B

Thanks guys. The Sinn appeals most, and while looking at their range the bundeswehr-like 103 appeals most. I guess I may have to up the budget...

If you want something cheapish, the Glycine Combat quartz models can sometimes be found at reasonable prices.
I picked up this used one with the ETA 955.112 a while ago.

Another vote for speedbird, 29b or any type of military style watches. CWC has some quartz models that look nice, or just sell the Natos :p

Ha ha - I have thought about that!

I'm not loving the Speedbird, and if the lovely faded CWC that was posted on here recently was for sale I'd certainly grab it! The new ones look a bit boring to me though, unfortunately.

I'll have a rethink and either sell the NATOs or up the budget...

Always reckoned my Revue Thommen Airspeed Chrono went pretty well with a NATO. It's an excellent Pilot's watch, BTW.

How about a Kemmner Bund or Ollech & Wajs Mirage?

The CWC G10 has 19mm lugs. The PRS10 has 20mm

Cheers for all the advice and info guys, a quick update just to close this off. I've just scored a CWC SBS diver with a lovely patina'd tritium dial that will be the Nato watch I was after It should arrive this week.

I know I was after a non-diver, and I bought a fantastic Kemmner Bund from a kind member of TZ who offered it to me after they read this thread. After receiving it I discovered I loved it on a brown bund so it didn't actually solve my problem! Whoops. Anyhow, here it is on the original black bund as I haven't got any pics on the brown yet...

Congrats on the Kemmner, it's a great watch that works well on a number of straps including NATO... mine says hello seen here on a GasGasBones, grey Phoenix NATO, and Eddie's speedbird NATO....

Stunning quality aren't they? Really well put together and much more affordable then the original. I even like the homage Kemmner logo.....

    Cool

The Alpinist and some of its newer cousins are very versatile with NATOs . They're also to be had for half of the indicated budget. Call it 2-for-1 if you wish.
6R15 is a great movement as well.

Nothing worse than a useless bezel. I may have to look out for one. Thanks

I would have recommended the Speedbird, it looks totally different off the bracelet. My other recommendations would be the 29b, Smiths Everest, Alpinist, Okeah or the lovely Strela.
