Wasn't there also a Granny Team where all the players were called Nice something or other? Eg Nice Cup of Tea, Nice Piece of Cake?

    This brought back memories

I realised that I only have one game for my PS4 - Farcry 4. I've lost about 40 hours to that so I must enjoy it.

Kickstart and Paradroid on the C64 are the memorable ones

Colin McCray on PS1. As others have said great evenings DUI!

Battlefield on PS3 getting into online shooting.

Not until I see gameplay footage, rather than cutscenes.
    Looks impressive though!

Well that will keep me occupied until the film is released!

I have a mint boxed N64 with boxed copies of Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Zelda and Banjo Kazooie tucked away somewhere. I must find time to dig it out and show the kids what great gaming used to be like...

In one of my old bachelor pads, we 'appropriated' a big old Panasonic RGB projector and used to play four way Goldeneye sessions for hours, each of us with a screen the size of a 42" tv.

Apocalypse Now was another good moment with the projector wall and the sound through the hi-fi amp.

    Most time sunk into

    Red Alert 2
    FF7
    Football Manager
    COD Zombies
    GTA SA
    Shinning Force 3
    Pro Evo

I don't have the attention span any more. I used to spend hours on games can barely manage half an hour now. :(

Only FM and COD zombies get a look in now.

Given the volume of interest here are there any tz-uk online clans or groups?

Just finished Child of Light which was brilliant!

Final Fantasy VII (and the others in the series, but VII stood out though is v dated now in terms of graphics).
Oblivion (first game on the Xbox 360/PS3 that I thought was genuinely 'next generation' - I was astounded by the depth and detail).
Skyrim (an upgrade and evolution of Oblivion... with dragons).

I like my games detailed and with the constant possibility of finding a better sword.

And to entirely contradict all that... I am currently only really playing COD Ghosts online multiplayer as it's easy to pick up/put down with limited time.

Getting excited about No Man's Sky though... looks incredible.

Good times! I could probably still find my way round that underground base with the silos.

I still remember playing the original arcade machines of Asteroids, Robotron, and Defender... Insert coin to continue.

Others that stay in the mind, Mario 64 changed everything, Goldeneye around the same time - so many multiplayer sessions! Followed by Time Splitters. And Mario Kart of course. Perfect Dark! Good call.

    Micro Machines! Classic.

SSX tricky and the rest for sure. All night long until everyone was hallucinating snow all round the room.

And of course Wipeout. So much Wipeout... And Midnight club.

Nothing has really caught the imagination since, obviously I'm a bit old for it all now. Walking through call of duty etc but there's not the feeling of breaking new ground that some of these originals had - better graphics and motion capture of course, but nothing much new, apart from 3D which is great on a projector, but seems to have stopped in its tracks lately.

Best thing in recent times, Monument Valley on the iPad! The first genuinely fresh thing in years.

Looking forward to trying the VR stuff once the headsets come out, anything involving fast driving through cities at night, or shooting up nice architecture.
