Ahh the 6105.. One of my favourite watches. I've got two of them.
I wear mine often.. They look great, keep good time, and wear well on any size wrist.

Here's mine on a Nato (I change the strap to go with what I'm wearing):

They look good on a black Nato too.....
I know, I should wear them on a waffle strap,.. maybe next week.

Tough but common call, between the original and a watch that is new.

When you see them together, it shows how good of a homage the 68 is.

Though, for some odd reason I don't like 'Great Britain' on the dial. Still want one though!

Ever thought you might get a Seiko but still end up with the hankering for the Smiths? :-)

The smiths looks to be a brilliant and well-made homage, but I think if you already had an original in good nick the primary reason you'd buy one is if you wanted to trust the WR or benefit from the modern movement. I can see the other way round happening much more TBH.

The Dagaz is a very different beast and didn't scratch the itch at all when I briefly had one. Decent enough watch but has a wholly different feel, very much an update rather than a straight homage.

With the trend for re-issues from the big names, I'm surprised Seiko isn't tempted, I know they have got close, with the recent spirit bullheads, but they are basically a homage as well.

    Unhappy

Knowing me and watches i will probably end up with both and trying to justify my actions to the missus

The 68 is an excellent homage but that 6105 just shines through somehow! Maybe it's the photos but?..

There are two different 6105's pictured, the one with the Smiths was a 1975 model and was absolutely immaculate. I sold it 'cos I was too conscious of it on my wrist when I was wearing it. The one with the Smiths and the Typhoon is a very early (Jan 1971) resist example I've had for a few years now and is in exactly the condition I like, not perfect but no beater either.
