    Aviation watch

I feel the need for a Aviation watch, has to be cool. It can be anything from new or old, classic or techno, mechanical or auto, large or small, super complicated or simple. It can be from Casio to IWC. I just don't know..

My passion is running low so need a boost. A energy watch. Something with oomph.

Ladies and Gentlemen, suggestion please by showing your pilot watch on or off the wrist.

No picture, sorry, but if you can Eddie's PRS9 and have a reasonably large wrist, that is a fine choice. My ex-RAF 84 year old father likes it too.

When I learned to fly I wore my Breitling Aerospace Professional (Chronometre Aerospace). Not only does it look good on your wrist, but the bi-directional bezel and stopwatch/countdown functions came in very handy when learning to navigate.

Here's a link to the latest version (though I think the ones made 2002-ish are much prettier):

PRS-5? And not an expensive choice if you decide to move it on later

Just utterly, utterly cool. It's a toss up as to which looks better, old and gnarly or freshly restored

I'm still in love with my grail which I wear on a daily basis out here bush flying in Papua. It also has the added bonus that it could save my life one day. Here's my Breitling Emergency in it's natural environment, the cockpit of my Swiss built Pilatus PC-6 Turbo Porter:

I wrote a review on it here if you're interested:

Nice to see it living in its natural environment! I hope you never have to test the emergency feature.

    I agree - respect!

I must say I don't like the aesthetics of the watch, but I'd certainly have one on the wrist if I was doing what you do.

I know 3 pilots and each wears a Brietling Aerospace. For me, my aviation watch is a 1939's Hanhart MonoPulse - so cool it has frosty.
