10,000 you say? My life has new meaning and purpose!
is mine gone?
it would seem yes
Cheers

Ralph Waldo Emerson: We ask for long life, but 'tis deep life, or noble moments that signify. Let the measure of time be spiritual, not mechanical.
Good idea but as a member of Oxbridge and a free mason could you make an exception for me...
There may well have been a few members here whose signatures contained intrusive images but nothing approaching this extent; spotted on a minor Rolex forum and reproduced at the size used!
Who needs 10,000 posts?

Good move, makes threads neater and solves Google picking up threads because the model you Google is in a signature.
I had been thinking should I delete my sig as it was just a list of watches cluttering things up. No need now.
Google could easily exclude sigs from their index since sigs have a programmatically recognisable division from the main data.
In general it disappoints me greatly that Google does not expose more metadata for forums and blogs. The detailed information is available to Google (either directly via explicit metadata information embedded in the HTML or through inference, which Google is very good at) but they don't make the information available to search as explicit fields, as far as I know. For example, you cannot search threads per se (only pages as Google dumbly spidered them), you can't do explicit searches for authors or for thread subjects or for time/date ranges, and so on. All this is something that Google could do since the information is available to them in programmatically accessible form when spidering.

Cant say I feel like I'm missing out on anything.
As a matter of interest I used to post a bit on a shooting forum that didnt allow avatar's - it seemed a bit odd at first but I soon got used to it. On the Volvo Owners club forum they got rid of post counts under you user name about 5 years ago - again, you dont really notice their absence after a while
At the end of the day none of this is a big deal in my opinion
Shows how stupid I am.....spent half an hour trying to append my simple signature this morning...doh!
Missed the thread - no worries....but will miss a few of the more humorous gifs!

Not all <10,000 signatures are gone: http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...=1#post3216845
Not a fan of watch lists as siggies but have lately wondered if they can serve a purpose as I have noticed some random members showing up on threads slagging off expensive watches in a rather dismissive manner. Am not questioning anyone's right to criticise a watch but wonder how often it is a question of envy or sour grapes.
A person who owns a bunch of G-shocks or cheap Seikos has much right to criticise or dislike a PP or an AP or a Rolex but sometimes one does wonder.
