    Cigars

My father-in-law and I like the odd cigar preferably Cuban or Dutch. Not being weel up in the matter nor particularly well off what do you recommend. Medium flavour and size. That's a bit subjective I know but I'm sure there will be people on here who know a bit about these. Ta

I always thought a short Churchill was a great smoke.

Montecristo Open series are a very accessible smoke, for something a tad cheaper then look at Nicaraguan cigars as they tend to be on the medium flavour side. Montecristo Nbr 4 is the obvious choice for a half corona size but Id recommend the slightly smaller Trinidad half corona.

For a larger smoke hit then as Mike points out above the petit Churchill is a nice size or go for a Robusto ... Hoyo Epicure Nbr 2 is a good smoke but for a slightly bigger hit try Bolivar. The Cohiba robusto is great but the Esplendidos has the bragging rights :-D

Have a look at www.cgarsltd.co.uk as they have tasting notes and also mixed bundles that are worth trying to see what you really like. They also stock a good selection of non-Cubans too.

I'd recommend having a look/taste of some non-cuban options such as something from My Father Cigars, Tatuaje, Perdomo, Drew Estate, Oliva, CAO etc. The quality and range (different tastes/strength) of these is VG and IMO in terms of quality (packing, draw, burn) well up to par to most Cubans. Here's a few personal favourites that I've tried this summer,

    Perdomo "Patriarch",

    Oliva Serie V,

    Jaime Garcia (My Father Cigars),

    Ashton VSG,

    Tatuaje "Cojonu",

    L'atelier LAT52,

My Uzi Weighs a Ton, "MUWAT" (Drew Estate),

    Undercrown (Drew Estate),

All of these are in the medium-full spectrum.

I guess the MUWAT is targeted at a certain Kristal drinking, diamond dial bling wearing gangsta crowd?

I thought so myself at first but supposedly that is not the case.
I read the story about how the name came about somewhere, will see if I can find it again! (It's a decent cigar though, despite the name)

Hell of a coincidence... My guess is they're trying to have their cake and eat it (target market wise) with the deeply improbable non hip-hop related explanation!
