    Looking good!

    This looks fantastic

As said, I too would like a smaller size (38-39mm) if the movement permits, but the suggested 41mm might be OK if the height's not too much.

I'm not sure about gold hands, as I very much liked the image with silver hands:

I trust it will have an exhibition caseback, so all this loveliness can be seen.

    That's my position too.

I share this view too. Presumably the availability of suitable movements is relevant here.

Edit: Sorry, maybe I wasn't being emphatic enough - 41/42mm is just too big for me. I trust those who post in support of this size already wear same and are pledging genuine interest.
Edit 2: Is it possible to use the Miyota 9015 movement for a central seconds Smiths homage. What with the ETA position.

I really like the basic look of the watch and at 41-42 mm, I don't think that it is too big for a "smart" watch. We're not talking tuxedo watch, here, this is something that could be worn with a suit or smart casual.

My only concerns are with the dial. I like creamy dials, but this one just seems a bit flat to me. I think that it needs some sort of texture or "depth", perhaps it could be something as simply as putting a bit of detail in the sub-dial like concentric circles. (Is that called guillauche?) Alternatively, the dial could be made slightly silvery to give it a bit of shimmer. I'm not suggesting anything ornate, just something very simple to add a bit of life to the dial. As it stands, the flat cream coloured dial doesn't seem to have anything special to make it "pop".

My other concern is the logo -- I don't care for it. I think that there are better logos in the Time Factors' arsenal.

I think the idea of doing rose gold hands and markers is a great idea. Add a bit of depth to the dial and this would be an amazing watch.

    Good luck,

    Jay

Rose gold would be an excellent idea Eddie, yellow gold has been done to many times before, rose gold would subtly make it stand out in the crowd........

I was showing this to my other half last night, and she said 'Shame you can't see it mocked up on the original image…'

Well considering this is what I do everyday, she knew saying that would mean I'd do a five minute mock up!!

I really am interested in this one!

    This design looks good :-)

    A few thoughts ..

38-39mm would be a great size for this style of watch

How about having 2 or 3 dial colours available : say silver / white / dark blue ( aqua terra ish shade)

I'd definitely be up for one if not too large .

    ..hope it comes off :-)

You should definitely read page 1!

  26. #76
At 41mm and an implied lug-to-lug of over 50mm (correct me if this is wrong) it will be too large for me.
A shame as I do so want a modern dressy watch and my initials are AS
Fingers crossed for the PRS 35/36.

Quite like the first one, not so much the rose gold.

I also wonder how many brands TF should try and have and if another one is necessary...?

I wanted a brand name for this watch which evokes thoughts of gentlemen in a time past.

The brand makes it for me; I'll be buying one for my father because of the name. Also because it's a stunning dress watch.

And maybe the brand logo a little more modest on the dial?

perhaps adding Sphynx or Sapphire to designate the model a name might aid its elegance? perhaps an elegant Sphynx motif?

    Croco strap FTW!

Exhibition case back has been asked for, a prospect Eddie? Would seem a shame to work on the movement and not show it off.

I think that the AS Owners Club would have something to say about that. Actually, looks like they might be planning something, if their latest filing is anything to go by...

Then you Sir are a gentleman.

I was in a play a couple of years ago playing the part of an WWll RAF squadron leader, and to complete the outfit I bought a rather red racy cravat, its good to be different.

As the very satisfied owner of a PRS-30 (a recent purchase), I'm thinking that something like this would look good in bronze, a sort of faded elegance or dress-down watch.

I think simple lines suit bronze as a material much better than some of the 'steampunk' concoctions on the market.
