Love it!
I missed this last time it was on SC but luckily caught it early this time.
I've a feeling it won't be reappearing there as quickly this time.
The Girard Perrgaux Vintage 1970.
Lovely it is too.....
(Quick snap on the phone)
Love it!
Very nice indeed, congratulations!
Great vintage and nice shot... Congratulations.
That is simply lovely , great pick up.
Well done :)
I've admired it twice on SC
I've no idea but i bet the RRP on that ain't cheap!
Extremely nice piece and different from the norm.
Think thats the first wrist shot I've seen of it, looks lovely :)
So lovley... I would loved to have brought that!
Lovely watch from a great house . Congratulations .
What a lovely watch . . . One day . . . Maybe!!
i love this watch, looks fantastic
congrats on getting it
Magnifique! Enjoy
Lovely watch. I've tried this model at a store in Cyprus last year (might even be the exact same watch I think) and was seriously tempted.
That's a beauty alright. I've come to the conclusion that GP (and GO) are incapable of making a bad/ugly watch. Every time that turns up in a Friday thread or SC, I covet it. Perhaps one day.
That looks like a really nice watch, but a couple of things bug me, things that i`ve seen several times on TZUK.
From a the comments here it seems this watch has been `around` a bit appearing on SC a number of times - nothing wrong with that in itself and i`m sure there`s nothing untoward with this particular piece at all - but for me i`d feel like the watch had been `sullied`(!) by having so many owners in a relatively short period of time and that i was just another transient keeper who knows that sooner or later it`ll be on someone elses wrist.
I don`t get this `flipping` thing at all (another Americanism i can live without), for me a watch is a personal thing and when i`m thinking of buying one it`s for keeps: i research, i look, i make sure i`m going to like it, i keep it..
I still own every watch i`ve bought, even one or two that don`t get much wrist time (damn, there`s another one...).
Does this fickleness extend to other aspects of folks lives too - cars, houses, jobs, wifes, girlfriends, phones, slippers, or is it just a watch thing?
Have you kept all the cars, houses, jobs, wifes, girlfriends, phones, slippers or is it just a watch thing? :)
Why hold on to things for no reason?

Cheers folks, appreciated....
Congratulations fantastic!!!
Lovely handset and Arabic indices, really gorgeous!
Congratulations. Very unusual. Only recently becoming aware of the lovely GPs out there.
I don't want to hijack this thread, cos the watch is just gorgeous! However it might be worth putting forward an alternative point of view, as I don't think buying/selling/trading/flipping is about being fickle. I did a partial trade (a Breitling + cash) to buy an Omega Speedmaster LE Gemini IV, a while back. I could not buy it new as it's a 2005 limited edition, and I know it's been owned by a number of people before me. To me that's not sullied the watch, it's actually part of its history and provenance. I will keep the watch for the long term, but the Breitling I traded it for was a watch I outgrew and no longer felt should be in my collection - largely because by that time I owned three...
I think for many of us it's difficult to take the view that every watch purchase is 'for life' - surely tastes and needs evolve over the years? My collection has changed and matured (I think!) a lot over the 9 or 10 years I've been a TZ member.

A very interesting watch there.
I would love to see some photos of it :-)
Very fine looking watch, from a brand that deserves more credit.

That's me just ordered a new strap for it from APB in Beaver Tail of all leathers!
I think this post needs more pictures !! :)
Congrats. Looks classy!
I've also ogled this watch on a few occasions but alas my very short arms and even deeper pockets have always kept me as a mere voyeur in the past.
Wear in good health my dude!!!
A great two register chronograph! Congrats.
Best! Glenn
Got myself a new strap made by ABP in Paris in Beaver Tail of all leathers.
