Believe it or not - Asda! I bought a pair for working on the motors and they have been the most comfy jeans that I have had for years!
I have bought dozens of pairs jeans over the past 2-3 years and invariably give them away because i cant seem to get comfortable with any one pair,
what i want is a pair of plain blue or dark blue jeans (no faded bits or ripped bits) in a straight leg, slim fit but not stretchy crotch huggers.
can anyone recommend a brand and or style in that brand that fits the brief?

I have been wearing Hugo Boss for years and been happy.
Tom Ford TF001.
I'd go for Diesel, loads of styles and fit options and not astronomically expensive
Sainsbury's did exactly what you want. Slim fit, low-rise, straight narrowish legs, raw denim colour. I've got a pair, they look fine to me and I'm reasonable fussy.
But I'm like Elle McPherson - I'd look good in a paper sack
Try Edwin ED-55.
Nudie have a good range, I've a few pairs
cheers

I've always found LEE to be a good choice
Can't really see the point of threads like this. Whats comfortable for one person may not be for another. The OP says he has bought dozens of pairs over the last few years and not found any comfortable. If he has bought that many the chances are he has tried a make that people are suggesting. Even then each make has different fits/types etc.
Perhaps ditching jeans might be an option- how about a nice pair of chinos?
I have been wearing RM Williams jeans for a couple of years now, good heavy denim, and Made in OZ
Do a google search for them, they're not cheap but you get what you pay for in them.
i wouldn't wear anything else now, properly made too.
Rob
PS the boots they make are pretty cool too.

Another vote for Edwin ED47. If you can order 1" down in the waist. Rainbow selfedge are my favourite.
They are most probably all made in the same sweatshop, to the same standard anyway! Ask the "faker" police, who are now struggling to spot which is real. The genuine article are having to have "secret" markings to tell the difference. Modern day "quality" is a joke (my comments include many watch brands too - movements replaced at service time - ever thought why?)
Hiut? Handmade in Wales.
True Religion - ideal for Bean Poles.
Armani if you have a more normal shape.
Rifle Jeans (but I have seen them for sales outside Italy)
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Or Wrangler.
What about SmartR's? Anyone remember those?
Another vote for Hiut...
Mine will be 6 months old in 2 weeks, and then I might wash them !

Levi 511s work for me... I've been in a similar boat as you. I have what they call a carrot fit. Big thighs slim legs...I always get them with a slight stretch so they give a little..
I've got a lot of jeans, different brands and cuts but always prefer my two pairs of Citizens of Humanity - not sure of the style but have had quite a few pairs over the years and always wear very comfortable.......
How bout these from Joe Blogges?
Levi's.....it's the Rolex of the jeans world
What about Nudie jeans?
Get yourself to selfridges as they have s great number of brands and be prepared to try a lot on.
I used to buy true religion, very good quality it v expensive, I've now gone back to diesel and there are colours and styles to fit all.
Armani are nice and you are talk so will be great in the leg, it's trial and error, good luck.
thanks for the suggestions folks
i dont think there is a diesel style to suit, or at least there wasnt, i have a few pairs of larkee that i wear casually but looking for something smarter
i also class True religion as more casual than dressy
Another Hiut convert here.
Buy jeans from a company that makes jeans.
Paul
Gap or Uniqlo, loads of styles and colours.
Another vote for Edwin.
Finally after 36 years I have found the 'one'. Highly recommended.
Had the same Q and then found basic Carhartt jean the best fit and value (at £70)
for me.
I have a pair of 33 x 32 Nudie Straight Alf ropy dry selvedge if you're interested?
Never worn, never washed; got a previous pair replaced at Harvey Nicols. Bit small for me in the thigh but then again, I am the same height and waist as you but 14st7!
Scotch & Soda Ralston work for me. There are various options but I wear the one on the link - smart, slim and dark - (just wish I was )

Bought some levi 511s today first impressions are very good !
Levi 501s get my vote, I get mine from the States for around £25/pair.....which helps!
If you want the 'worn' look, there's no substitute for buying a pair of dark ones, wearing them, then washing them.......several times. Treat them to a tiny amount of bleach and the process speeds up significantly. A far nicer effect, and I won`t buy clothes that look worn out when I buy 'em.
If you want dark jeans to stay dark, wash then by hand at 30°C and always turn them inside out.
Paul
One of a couple of pairs, currently unwashed since new in Dec! Breaking nicely
