Yes but much like Wigan, they all share one giant chromosome, so it doesnt really matter where in Yorkshire you come from

Several get togethers were held in Leeds a few years ago. This died a death because hardly anyone turned up at the last one!

Absolutely!.......it's quality not quantity that counts, and yes, we all had a good time.

York or Leeds would be doable for me too.

Having never been to one of these meetings before, dare i ask what happens and what the format is?

York is the answer as it is inbetween Leeds and Hull and sorry to say it but I really don't want to go to Hull :)

You arrive on the train, before digesting copious amounts of drink and drugs. Call girls attend after a light kebab supper and then we play cards, when someone tends to lose his collection of luxury watches, the watches we all forget to get out, because we were having such a good time.

Oh, sorry, it's a thread for the Yorkshire one...

Pre-arranged car share, non-fizzy soft drinks, sausage rolls (warm by prior arrangement) and a chat about Seiko's, 2pm prompt, finishing around 2:50pm

I am sure it is but I have been there many times and find it the most depressing Yorkshire town/city that I have ever visited and with my job I cover the whole of Yorkshire, just my opinion of course :)

Hull city of culture 2017 does that mean we will get another useless shopping centre to go with the other 3 !

Back on topic as long as it doesn't clash with work I could take a run out to York.

York just pushes it for me, I would genuinely be happy with Hull even though I live south of the natural border!

I'm just across the natural border as well or £1:50 away if you nip over Humber Bridge

Another Hull chap here, though York/Leeds wouldn't be terrible.

If "window" shopping is on the agenda Leeds is unbeatable. Noticed in York the other day, Harper's seem to have closed down.

Surely they're all too tight to shell out on expensive watches?

Leeds is the financial capital of the north, so it would get my vote FWIW.

Pie and peas in The Hop are minging though. Went once and barely ate a thing after the peas were slopped out of a serving hatch round the back of the pub onto a microwaved pie :P
