Fantastic, I'd watch that all uncut if they'd release it.

I can only recommend a Nomos manufactory visit - you will see all this and more as you are walking between their watchmakers and look over their shoulders.

I could watch that part of the process all day long, and never get bored of it – amazing to watch.
Did you notice the 4-digit code done at the start, caused discolouration of the steel due to the localised heat build-up?

The times I've tried to replace a set of hands after tinkering, and how difficult that can be. And how micrometre accurate and precise their machines do it, is a thing of beauty. Thanks for posting.

I think that goes a long way to explain to non watch people why this whole thing is so fascinating to some.

    Superb. many thanks

Difficult to tell for sure from the video clip but I'm guessing they use a Bergeon 6935-3 (or equivalent) hand fitting tool for the hour and minute hands. Use them everyday and they're a great bit of kit, ensuring consistent and precise tolerances between dial and hands. Shame they're about a grand to buy though.

I really admire Nomos and their philosophy and videos like this just reinforce what a great company they are.

    Cheers,
    Gary
