    Canon Ixus repair advice, London

    morning gents

I've a circa 5 year old Canon Ixus, little black thing. the lens won't retract. any suggestions as to a good repair shop on London please? I guess you'd just send it off to Canon, there's a list here:

anyway, there's usually someone here with insider knowledge so I thought I'd ask first

    cheers in advance
    J

I would be surprised if the repair isnt too far off the cost of another decent camera unfortunately....
    Cheers..

I broke the card door on my Ixus, Canon advised me to contact these people as their main repair agent, http://www.hlehmann.co.uk/. As I was passing I called in, First impression was a small scruffy little shop but hey ho in we go, I was given a cup of coffee asked if I could spare five mins camera fitted with new door for price of a coffee, ABSOLUTLY highly recomended, Best service I have had for years, Walls are full of top end canon cameras stripped into bits as far as every screw, they were amazing, WELL worth a try.

+1 from me too. I had cracked the lcd screen on my IXUS - local camera shop said it was a write off. I found instructions on how to replace it yourself on the web. Lehmans provided the parts for around £10-12 via mail order.
