    775

Been enjoying the 775 for about a month now. Excellent time-keeping comfy if heavy on the bracelet and Uncle Seiko's waffle.

Wow that is awesome! I love the case, not very typical Seiko.

Fantastic, been looking out for one of those for ages - would leave to hear your impressions.

I love the case shape (I like angular cases) and the high quality finish, but TBH my fist impressions of the dial were a bit underwhelming.
At a glance it appears to be flat grey - it just seemed too clean, too clinical?

However, the more you look at the details - the better it gets.
The hands and markers are beautifully polished & the dial actually has a very fine radial texture to it - which is really hard to capture.
    Here's a Q&D macro ...

I'll try to get something better when I have more time.

It fits exactly what I wanted - something smart for work & a bit sportier than the non lumed GS models.
It's ideal for (my) work as it's under the radar for most non WIS, but appeals to the WIS in me not only for the 9F movement, but also the fine details.
...& to most people it's... just a Seiko

Don't wear them, can't pull myself away from Swiss! I like them though. They are great value for money.

    Show yours!
I am intrigued by the Velatura design. Do you still have it and how well did it perform? I like the idea of a watch being drivable both by sunlight and winding energy. Does the winding energy work as advertised?

Thanks very much, dial looks fabulous. I really like the grey with red text.

May I ask where you got it?

Another Sumo lover - this time a new SDBC031 version :) A really nice watch so much so, that I probably won't bother getting a Shogun???

I can't understand the criticism on the narrow bracelet - seems totally fine to me??

From my POV the bracelet is very fine and comfortable, and 20 mm feels elegant somehow, but I also think 22 mm would have been just fine since the Sumo is a big watch.

Finally found a strap with hidden seam for my 44-9990 King Seiko at a reasonable price, after I was quoted £700 for the GS strap that comes with the self dater re-issue !!

Ouch. Seiko quoted me £150 for a replacement alligator strap for mine and I thought that was pricey enough.

Waiting to get my father's watch back from Cannop before deciding what do strap-wise (both the GS and dad's are 18mm)

yes..I never like Seiko's originals...even in those re-issued Turtles....sorry, while I think Seiko is going to fade them out as well.
