The case is very reminiscent of the flightmaster and big blue, I like it.

Well the SPB213 at the top of the page has made way for an SPB381J1 which is the watch I thought I really wanted beforehand.

This arrived last week. It's from March '69 and is complete except for the bracelet and crown. Going off for a service and a crystal polish (CRC).

Cheers - my wrist is 6.25” - the short lugs and shroud mean it wears way smaller than you’d expect. Plus it’s light which helps

That's stunning! Not seen this before but the logo suggests it's pretty recent....can someone supply the reference please?

    Thanks! 👍🏽

I was hoping it's a sub 40mm chronograph as it looks lovely but my search for the perfect chronograph will have to go on 😊

LCD display is now flashing on my H558 Seiko Arnie, which means a battery replacement is due.

Anyone have recommendations in Kent/ South East for this? As like to have it pressure tested also for its WR.

I haven’t got the tools to remove the case back & do myself.

I did send it to Seiko UK via the Knightsbridge boutique probably 5yrs ago for its last battery replacement, wanted the quarts movement service but they couldn’t do it due to its age. Only the battery and WR test.

Thanks Lewie I appreciate the offer, I've realised I do have a tool and just ordered the batteries so will give it a go, have a G Shock to replace battaries on and an old Sekonda belong to my sister in law (great grandmother) to do, so will wait for a nice lazy Sunday.

Just out of interest as I don't know, will it need pressure testing for WR after?

Well you did well to get 5 years out of the last battery
Pressure test - probably but I guess last time they’ve replaced all the gaskets - I think it would be ok with a smear or grease around the Caseback gasket
    Nipped up tight
Watch the battery strap screw they tend to have zero gravity - undo in in a plastic bag
Just treated mine to one of Harold’s DLC SS shrouds

    Thanks Lewie,

Appreciate the response, you may get some PMs if i get stuck ha.

I did buy an aftermarket shroud, as mine snapped when doing the bezel last summer, but it didn't fit great, some superglue on the OG has worked so far.

What are Harolds like? I'd like to get as near OEM as possible

This arrived today, despite my No More Watches rule, and I'm liking it very much.

Nov 1981, recent recipient of a full service. I'll wear it for a 50th birthday weekend away, I think - out fishing!

Inadvertently ended up with 2 of these lovely Navigator Timers.
Trying to decide which one to keep hold of - can’t really justify keeping both, but am very tempted to do so!

Tough choice but I think I prefer the grey dial.

I would be stunned if it was excess glue!
