Some superb Watches on show here and I particularly like some of the Strap Combos too.
For me the lower price point of Seiko gives so much freedom with regards to use and customisation.
Makes it easier to build up a collection too.
My Two most local retailers don't usually have the more interesting models and I think they really miss a trick when they do by lumping them in with all the run of the mill models in a (shop) window-full of mundane (-ness).

    It's a Strapcode Super Jubilee.
Strapcode bracelets can be somewhat of a lottery in terms of fit & finish but this one is ok.

I'll agree with that! It took me three goes before I received a 24mm Super Engineer II where the clasp would stay locked or didn't click with the slightest wrist movement. My 22mm Endmill, on the other hand, was perfect first go.

I was not a fan at all until I saw some real world pictures of it (Seiko PR pics are notoriously poor) and when I held it in my hand it completely won me over, certainly has a character of its own.

My most unusual Seiko, I've never seen another.

Its all titanium and I'm told it's an IWC clone.

My 7a38 7020 - I love the overbuilt movement's history and the geometric bezel. Plus those subdials. First watch to kick the Sub off my wrist in two years.

Found myself spending more and more time looking at Seiko divers in the short time I’ve been on here,
forgive me if this has been covered before but short of looking on eBay for anything out of the ordinary I wouldn’t know where to start looking for a modified version. Are there particular places to go for quality of work/price etc?

Mine came modded already. I believe that it may also have a Sapphire crystal fitted too.
Buy the bits and send them to Duncan (thewatchbloke) that is his TZ name and UK website. He is always excellent.
Of course, I believe that others do the same thing, and some members are incredibly skilled too

Another step down the road out of my comfort zone, if this conversation covered bicycles I’d be fine.... alas not so with watches. I guess buy a base model and then bolt on bits to subtly change appearance? Next question, where to buy hands, bezel etc and how to know what fits what? or at my level easier to lookout for something already modded?

I have to confess, I am also a million miles from being an expert on such matters. There are many other TZ members who are extremely knowledgeable in such things. Perhaps start a thread looking for help/information?
Personally I try and buy the watch once the hard work has already been done.

Thank you very much. I am delighted with it, and it puts a smile on my face every time it gets on my wrist The bezel really lifts a Blumo.

It certainly does, dare I say a standard blumo is a little bland? But not this.

Got to love a Seiko thread, some lovely watches on here.

Here are some of my favourite Seiko's. I have recently discovered Crafter Blue though, so the 7C43 and the MM300 are both on those now... until I get bored.

As an aside, I'd really like something along the lines of a Crafter Blue rubber strap for the Grand Seiko SBGA031. Does anyone know if such a thing exists? (I know Crafter Blue don't make one).
