Looks great on the Isofrane. I feel the same way about the SBBN007, I think it works best on rubber straps. I wear mine either on a flat vent or this orange Bonetto Cinturini:

Very good. And I'm not a bracelet fan in general.
Just make sure to stay well away from their MM300 oyster bracelet, horrible end link look & fit.

Not worn this for a while, but it's my favourite Seiko.

It's probably somewhere earlier in the thread already, but I love the way the dial can look almost black one minute and a greyish-blue the next, the step between the chapter ring and the dial, the way the subdials cut into the chapter ring and the yellow chrono hands.

    £125 well spent!

    M

PS Another example of a watch that had a phase as a forum favourite, but seems to have mostly vanished from sight.

Kill cord round my leg, two hands on the wheel with the wife on the seat behind leaning over to take the photo! 25kts at the time, very flat though.

I sold that cracking 009 on SC for this. I liked the blue but it's just not the black:

I'm considering my third 007, I wear a 009 for work and rough stuff but the black is nicer IMO.

    Thank you Mario!
Serial starts with 53. It should have a "no M" dial originally and I also received that one together with the watch, it had been mistakenly swapped during service in Japan and when discovered they returned the original dial but did not ask for the other one back. Will see when/if I get around to switch them.

Thats a very early one. Should you ever switch the dials and consider selling the m dial please let me know as I have a 59xxxx 6159-7010 with (slightly) damaged m dial.

Wasn't sure whether to post this here or on the "renovate" thread, but since I know very little about Seikos can anyone tell me whether this has the original hands and/or dial? I am presuming it is a first generation 7002-7000, but as I say I am ignorant of most things Seiko.

It runs well, and I do have a replacement sapphire crystal and crown in the box somewhere.

  43. #3393
I posted this image in response to a thread about replacement straps for a field watch.

What I really like about Seikos is that they can be picked up for a reasonable price, minor repairs can be carried out at home (the white-faced Seiko has a replacement crystal fitted) and they come in a seemingly infinite variety!

Original. Looks good and always nice to see a 7002 that original as so many are given fake dials and aftermarket parts. Lume is usually quite green, depending on how the light hits them, hands are similar to the skx in shape, meatball second hand has a wide border, not too thin but beware there are other fake hands that have quite a thick border. Dial code is correct, print and size, lume box next to date window is the correct size. Seiko logo print is perfect. 12 o'clock lume triangle has correctly shaped edges. And yes 1st gen. Second generation have a unidirectional rotating ring and Diver's 200m text much the same as the skx that came just a year later.

    Love the 7002.

Yes, love the 7002.... Here's a lovely example of the 2nd generation 7002-7020 with the less common blue dial:
