I took the plunge and went down to one watch for every use (in addition to the family heirloom Seiko 7000-8000) and I've not looked back. I absolutely love this watch and just freshen it up my switching between the bracelet, DAL1BP and various natos:

    ....and the two together:

Is that a Seiko bracelet - it looks very much like a Gay Frères model that was made for, amongst others, Universal Genève? If it is and it's 20mm it's probably quite valuable.

I am fairly sure that it will be Seiko. It certainly has a Seiko buckle and although he liked his watches I can't imagine my old man swopping the buckle onto another bracelet.
It is possibly the most comfortable watch to wear that I have.

Many thanks - do you have a reference no for the watch as I'd like to keep an eye out for one?

I've joined the club. Tbh never had an interest in Seiko until I joined the forum. Saw lots of photos, read the stories and thought I have to give the brand a try. Picked this up in SC and have to say for the price, the quality is just stunning!

You need to have at least one seiko, I mean, you don't need to really, but I would not be without one

Thanks for the appreciation. It does not get worn that often but it will always have a special place in my collection.
I am not sure what reference you might need but here is a pic of the case back - hope that helps.

I have been wearing this beauty the last few days as I put it up for trade and wanted to check the timing.
But as usual I am thinking that I should keep it now.

Seiko SNN079P2 on a soft leather strap. One of the most comfortable watches I own.

Thanks mate. Personally I'm a huge fan of both. The SKX has a more simple classic design, this one is more impressive and more modern IMHO. I like both for different reasons.
