A very nice Geckota strap turned up this morning, so giving my new SARB035 a first wear. Extremely happy with it!

Near mint if not mint. Lovely watch and a Pepsi 6309 which you don't hear go together very often. I like the slim 6309 more than the 7040 in some ways to be honest.

Snowy at home in the valley today so a couple of pics of two of my favourite Seikos - my SBDB013 Springdrive Tuna & SRP777 Tuttle in the snow, and the Springdrive with one of the tuna-tins they’ve got at the Seiko boutique in London if you ask very nicely (there have a Prospex cleaning cloth inside).

^^^^ Great to see some snow (no sign of it up here!) and that MM looks an absolute cracker.

Looks like a discontinued Seiko SBCA001, always fancied one myself but at 37mm the case is a little too small for me.

This just arrived and I am well chuffed. Navigator Timer, 6117-8000.

It has the original bracelet which fit my wrist perfectly without any adjustment, so I've been wearing it since it arrived 2 days ago.
Movement seems to be running ok, losing maybe 30 seconds a day.
The only problem is the crystal which polished up well with polywatch but it has a crack/fissure in it just below 9 o'clock. I'll try to source a new crystal, if anyone has any pointers on where to find old crystals, it would be appreciated.

A new arrival yesterday - a Bell-Matic from 1976 and in amazing condition for its age. Love the quirkiness of it.. with its mechanical alarm.

Very nice. I’m really drawn to this era of Seiko and their shape. Love these and the diver version.

First post on this thread so I should say Hello!! I got a Titanium SGG709 for pennies in an outlet mall in America and someone in the forum suggested I put a NATO on it and I finally took their advice last night! First strap change so fairly proud! Anyway here she is...Image1521800842.193756.jpg

    It’s the SBBN023: https://www.ablogtowatch.com/seiko-golgo-13-watches/

Honestly had not counted but a quick check makes it 17.

I’d generally recommend starting out with a 300m version.
Which one is really a matter of personal preference.

New or old hands? Bracelet or strap? Dial colour? SS or PVD shroud?
Some of the 300m classics IMO are 7549-7010, SBBN015 or SBBN007.
If you like the contemporary models and a touch of blue the JDM SBBN037 is fantastic.

But really, there are no bad Tunas and be warned that they can be a slippery slope...

New acquisition before they dry up. Lovely shape and details but I am surprised by the amount of reflection and glare from the crystal. Hard to photograph!
