    How's your luck.....

Been on the lookout for a Comex SD for a while. Just tied up most of my cash for the foreseeable future in a property deal and I said to the wife last night 'I bet a COMEX comes up tomorrow'.
Low and behold, a guy I know phoned me to tell me there is one on eBay. Over priced at that cost but it turns out I know the seller!

Bloody way things turn out :(

(In truth, I obviously would put of a deal to buy a watch bit it made me laugh)

That's what I keep telling myself.
However, the Comex doesn't need complete refurbishment!

When the property bubble burst in 1995 I lost shed loads of money on the house I had bought in 1990 - life savings, 5 years or mortgage at around 12% and the gain on the previous sale; all gone. Now if I had bought a bag of Comex Sub's and a couple of Paul Newman Daytonas instead...

But hindsight is a perfect science.

Lost, gained. It's a home to live in. You can't live in a watch.

No, but if I'd rented exactly the same house for 5 years instead of buying it I would have been considerably better off at the end. But, 20/20 hindsight and all that.

+1....a crystal ball would be v. useful sometimes! We could all recount missed opportunities with the benefit of hindsight.
