    I've finally found my Grail

Having spent time building a collection and trying out new watches and getting a feel for what I really like. I then saw this....

I mean it's a thing of beauty. I must own this and glance at my collection in front of me to see what needs to go to make this happen.

That brand does nothing for me, dials are always over fussy.

If you like it though buy one :-)

I was at first not a big Breitling fan and tbh I don't like most of their stuff but I love the Navitimer range and especially the Navi World. I also love the whole Transocean line, especially this one.

Beautiful piece and I would go for it. Make sure you get a good discount though, as their gold pieces don't shift very quickly.

Breitlings are like BMW's they are easy to knock until you've tried one. I like it 👌👌

Being a B fan as well I'd say go for it, But this is a fact get the best discount you can because your wallet will hurt as it pays out, but will be deeply agonised if you ever have to sell it.

I've decided that my years goal is to get this. Milgauss GV is the one getting the chop soon to get the ball rolling.

What kind of discount do you think I could get on this ??

That's a classy looking Transocean! What's the size of these, 42/3mm?

pure, pure, pure class. That is a truly wonderful class. Breitling really know how to finish a watch - it will be perfection.

Make sure you order thru Bob at Banks Lyon, or Andrew Michaels.

What is the meaning of the markers at 3,6 and 9 minutes on the minute counter subdial?

It's defiantly a good looking watch. But the tachymetre on the dial just makes it's a little too busy for me. But if you like it, go for it.

As others have said, for me too, very very busy.

Also I'm not sure of a Breitling as a "dress" watch.

    I'd be thinking again.

That's the first Breitling I've ever liked, normally the designs are way to fussy and cluttered but that is right up my street

I'm usually a breitling fan, but that is too busy for a classy gold number like this.

If only all the other cars sold in England came with working indicators, you'd have a point

Lovely. I also could probably do without the tachymeter scale on the outside (too many tick marks), but otherwise, it's very elegant.

The 3, 6, 9 min marks on the minute totaliser are a nod to the past model. The reasons for them include making it easier to time long-distance phone calls, which were often charged in 3-minute multiples, but this only applied in North America as far as I know. The other reason was for navigation, and the fact that 3, 6 and 9 minutes are useful hourly divisions (1/20, 2/20 and 3/20).
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

That's much nicer than moth Brietlings. :-)

They had one the Boutique in Manchester a while back £16.800 I think but it was on a gold buckle, this deserves a deployant at the very least.

The problem one must wrestle with though is if you're going to spend that much money, the pull of getting a Patek is strong.

I am a complete breitling fan (i currently have 5) and i think that is stunning.

however, for the money that is going to cost, i think i would be tempted to buy from a more exclusive and swanky manufacturer. It matters not though as i could never spend that money on a watch anyway! good luck with your mission to get one!

...Except that won't even stretch 2/3rds of the way to the cheapest steel Patek chrono, and one big draw of this purchase is I think because of the rose gold (OP?). I'd be thinking hard about a Zenith chrono or an IWC Portuguese, though, both of which are a good bit cheaper than the Breitling.

I can really see your passion for this. I would personally try it a number of times, but once you get certain light reflections on it, man they won't be able to get it it off your grip!!!

That looks great and for a Breitling is not busy at all, there are Patek chronos more busy than that.

For 16K you can get a used Nautilus in YG or RG for a bit more. Worth considering as for that much money I wouldn't buy a Breitling tho I have 3 steel ones. Or look at a gold AP RO or ROC.
