    More retro-vintage!

Glycine has been sitting on this one. The Airman One is pretty much identical to the original, with very slightly bigger case (38mm vs 37mm) and I think a plexi crystal judging by the pictures. It's certainly truer to its original watches than last year's 1953, which was rather large.

(Only photo I can find so far)
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!

Look forward to seeing this one, always fancied trying one of these but the size always put me off

Now that does look interesting. Any idea of when it is likely to become available?

Now we're talking. I have a Airman 8 but have always hankered after one which is much closer to the original.

I like that, especially if it has a plexi crystal.

Well I like it. - And I would like to try one.

I see most Glycine are 24 up and some are 12 up.
Is the 12 up version easier to read do you think?

    Oh dear.........

It appears that they are making them in yellow, red and white gold. The press release seems to indicate that the will make one of each and then be selling them as a group.

However I may have misinterpreted the press release.

That's typical! You search through the Basel release's looking for anything under 38mm, of which there is nothing, and the one that takes my eye will only be made in gold as a set of three!

Did you see Nomos's new Metro? It's 37mm.

I was up for one of those but sadly not if I hsve to buy three and they are in precious metals!!! Glycine couldn't have got further from the original if they tried....it was a SS watch. Good luck to them but I doubt they will sell many (if any) not a big enough name, too small a watch, and not enough bling. They would have had a winner in SS.

Well that's just dumb. If they made a steel version for under £1000 I would buy it in a second.
