Halios Tropik SS is worth considering.

I've been thinking about the Stowa Flieger too. One one hand, I love the idea of the Damasko hardened cases and the fact that they have better water resistance. On the other hand I am thinking that if I wanted a Flieger type watch, the Stowa is so nice (and cheaper) that I would probably choose that over the Damasko. Still, the Damaskos are amazing for everyday watches.

Good luck with your search for a diver. I myself have the Marcello C Nettuno 3 that I suggested earlier in the thread and am very happy with it. I have compared it with a friend's Steinhart diver and the Marcello is nicer. Better size, feels more refined, no cyclops...

    Just seen one on S.C
This is what I would have suggested. A lot of watch at that price.

I'm just wondering, would anyone's suggestions change if the budget was increased to £1500 or £2000 (since still not enough for a Rolex)?

With that much you should be able to get a Planet Ocean 2500.

My favourite dive watch is the Marathon GSAR. It's ISO 5425 certified and has tritium lume.

That is a great suggestion but could the definitive answer to this question be this?

This Doxa Sub1200t is on the Sale's Corner for £925 - IMHO an iconic diver that is within your budget http://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.ph...T-Professional
