    Very restrained

Don't go thinking that '2' in the centre of the dial is the date.....it means it's the 2nd half of the match!

I liked it... until I realised the clock part was that tiny dial at the bottom...

Do the yellow and green hands really just measure the length of the game??

Perfect for the average Premiership footballer.

Yes, it's two retrograde dials measure the match...the green hand the seconds, the yellow measure the minutes

those whacky Swiss, at it again! im particularly impressed by the way the graphics dept managed to make sure none of the case screws align to anything else.

I can think of and see bigger issues than non aligned bezel screws.

I like the basics of the Hublot case design but i quickly get overwhelmed by their tackier elements.

Could somebody please photoshop a "Fergie time" scale on to that dial before the memory of such things dies...

    It's unusual!

More pics (and hype for) the Big Bang Unico Bi-retrograde Chrono (I promise I haven't just made that up): link.

And the video is here: link.

    Absolutely fugly!

But wait...this must be the official referee's watch, not the "general public watch".

I'm curious as to why, when they've got this 'football time' complication centred to the watch, did they decide to only use a third of the watch measuring it?

Like a lot of Hublot's, it just looks like a mish-mash of not particularly well finished, odd ball materials! On top of that, not even great for telling the time at a glance.

    Nice complication, very neat.

Brazilian themed, football specific, it could be a lot, lot worse...

I really don't like I hasten to add, but it could be worse!

You're right it could be worse, it could be a watch made by Graham !

    Im with you ^^^^^

It fills the criteria of its brief I'm sure and no doubt it'll be oversubscribed by buyers.

Their 2010 effort was $30k and limited to 100. If this is the same, after 'officials' gets their freebies for friends and family there will only be a handful knocking around in Manchester.

Didnt even know they "did" 2010 as well. That one looks cheap as well, it looks like those China "print yourself something on the dial" ones. Plus the highly reflective dial means it's probably close to impossible to read the time while out in the stadium.

Crap, gone are the days when these watches were for the masses, not just for some snobs! Here's a nice example below from Italia 90

I agree with you - it's a nice complication, and while I wouldn't spend my own money on it, there's clearly been some thought applied.

They could have aligned the bezel bolts - I mean how hard would that have been Hublot!

I mentioned elsewhere that Hublot specifically do not line the screws up because they think having all the screws lined up makes them look false. Go figure...

Not my cup of horological tea, but it's different to anything else on the market and not an homage of any sort. To those who have that sort of ready cash to spare (premiership footballers come to mind), it's probably a good buy.

Almost impossible. In fact, probably impossible. When ever you see them lined up, like on an AP RO, they are bolt heads, not screw heads. Or fake screws.

You could glue them in and then tighten a nut from the rear, maybe cut the slot afterwards or something but it'd be defeating the purpose of the watch.

I don't think it's too bad and I echo the comments that it could be a lot worse. I would never buy one, or even wear one, but it's not really a watch that people are supposed to go out and buy in large numbers, is it? It's surely just a marketing tool. They'll sell a few, give some away I guess, and then hopefully use the work they put into the complication towards a watch that people may actually want to buy.

Not easy to do unless they're 'fake' screws like an AP.

Lets not forget Diego Maradona sometimes wears a Hublot on each wrist..........

    Cool

With both daughters playing soccer from grade school through the university and then NYC adult leagues, I have never seen a timepiece that keeps regulation time and added time like that. It is very cool in this respect.

Been to thousands of matches and never seen anything like it.

I think it looks alright. It's clearly not great but I don't think it looks as vulgar as some g-shocks that many here love.

Nice to be a bit different from the norm, but certainly doesn't do it for me, even worse in the gold!

Well Casio issued an even more bonkers World Cup watch, when they had the sponsorship deal. It also timed each half and could cope with extra time.
