    Any "old school" Zenith lovers?

At Bernard watch they have some very nice models in mint condition for a fair price.
I love The Rainbow with the blue dial

    Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

I do like that era of Zenith. Possibly a little dated, but on it's way to becoming classic.

I like my Rainbow Flyback. Very good size and fit, lovely dial, great movement.

    Yep, love 'em

Had this for many years until new house forced sale :(

    Very nice

Although I am not sure many (even mine, which is a bit older) count as "old school" yet.

    146hp - definitely
Early El Primero (like an A386) - sure

But even mine is late 80s -perhaps old school, but definitely not yet vintage......

I wish I could have gotten my hands on an EP Class Open 40mm guilloche (black or silver) with the gold power reserve hand...

Anyway I'm happy enough with my EP Class Sport HW =)

(the one on the right is gone =( )

I have the same watch with the coloured dial - was my "first" watch & just had it overhauled by Zenith (new dials/hands) and is like new again.

Not normally a fan of gold watches, but that does look rather lovely.

I love zenith, especially the vintage stuff.

    Here's a family shot of the A386, A385 and A3817.

There is one older Zenith that I would like to get. It's a handwind El Primero that closely resembled the Strela chrono (baton markers, rectangular pushers etc) and was discontinued about 10 - 12 years ago. It retailed for roughly £1600 at a time when a Speedy Pro was around £1100, so I ended up with the Speedmaster instead. As an aside I turned down a Snoopy that was being offered to me at £100 less than the regular Speedy and I was already getting a decent discount on it. Obviously the AD was finding it hard to shift.

Heading that way for sure, very 'right' watches - or the Movado version for less cash, just as much dash.

Beautiful classical group. Very nice - out of the original El Primero triumvirate I'd have the A3817 over the A384 I think. Lovely.

I must be getting old if the ones on their site are already considered old school!
Some nice vintage pieces in this thread though! Here's my contribution:

Not the biggest fan of that bracelet, but the watch itself is lovely.
