Evolution of the luxury watch .. infographic

Interesting infographic showing timeline of when luxury manufacturers came to market....
Which is the fastest growing watch brand ????
P.S. Please don't quote this message in your replies - the constant scrolling will wear my fingers out.

    Nice summary.

Cue the barrage of responses questioning lineage, ownership and continuity of manufacture!

Thanks for sharing, I love infographics. A visually nice presentation of some interesting facts. Walked from my phone to my laptop to read it :-). Perhaps someone can do a pac-man slide of which brands ate which next ;-)

The singlemost important milestone is missing.

    1982 B&H re-invent the swiss mechanical as a luxury.

Very nice and informative. Some cool old brands deserve to be here IMHO.
    Thanks for posting.

Interesting, I had no idea how old some of these brands are.

Very interesting to see it like that and as said had no idea how old some of the brands were.

    nice but not 100% accurate

where is the other big name in the timeline ?
    Vacheron Constantin - 1775

And the most fast growing brands .... Zenith belongs in this top
Since 2009 when Mr Dufour became CEO they grew a lot more than let's say 'Breguet'
20% per year is no exception

Fastest growing, outpacing the combined growth of.....

Comparing the growth rates of a relative new start (and exclusively expensive) watchmaker with long established brands with global networks of dealers is disingenuous at best.

    Enjoyed the article though.

VC are from 1755 and I was about to post about their omission too!

Breguet are mentioned but not actually in the timeline weirdly. Guess you can't have everything!

I knew Hong Kongers liked their watches, but that's an eye opener.

Re-position is the word. They couldn't reinvent what already existed. Now give it a rest Cilla. Every thread is a bit boring. There is not I am sure one member who doesn't get what you think of the Swiss watch industry

    indeed ... VC 1755
1775 is Breguet, which also isn't in the list ... pretty big names
