Any damage to the watch? I'm going to be buying some larger diameter bars off the fleabay to avoid this very issue.

Yeah I bet there's a few thousand of them in close earth orbit as space flotsam.

There's only one thing known (in my limited experience) to ping further. 1.5mm Ø pusher circlips ! LOL

Oh it wasn't spontaneous, I was fiddling with it at the time. Got spares at home but am now wearing my watch backwards to keep it on. Sigh. Trying to think of a jewellers close to queen sq, bristol...

I'm not sure how many hundreds of spring bars I have accumulated over the years. So when one makes a jailbreak and dashes for freedom (not to worry, he'll be abducted by the vacuum cleaner), it's no great cause for alarm. Had I been forced to do so however, I could have bought some...

I still need to order a new 20mm bar for my Skagen. We were doing a damn team building activity on college. The beater managed to get caught on something. Before I knew one side of the bracelet was coming down, and a VERY bent spring bar flew off never to be seen again...
