    I just picked up a Orion Weiss and absolutely love it. Wasnt sure in the beginning about the steel hands as i quite like the original blued hands but it gives the watch a timeless appearance.

    Glad you're enjoying it Steven!

    I'd give another vote for the 40mm explorer II- despite selling mine, it is a watch I will buy again in the future

    Junghans Max Bill Chronoscope.

    Bell & Ross Vintage Original BR 126 Chronograph. Or the BR 123 three hands version. The dial is beige but I guess it's light enough...

    Stowa 1938 Chronograph.

    Those white faced AT's, particularly on the gator/leather, are lovely.

    Oh no.

    I've got an immaculate Pam 113 which I might be willing to part with if you are still looking? Would be within budget too.

    Can't get used to white face watches at all for some reason......

    I also find them hard to read unless they have contrasting hand colors. Silver hands on a white face dial is a big no for me.

    I picked this up recently, and tried on the Master Ultra Thin Reserve de Marche at the same time (this is the MUT Moon). Both are exquisite, and at 39mm & mostly dial wear quite large - my wrists are only 6.75' though, and the size is perfect for me.

    Shameful plug but how about something a bit left field and below your £3k budget (and a perfect 40mm)

    Thanks! Original hands. Watch did go off to Brendan Hoey earlier this year for a service, Brendan had a bit of trouble removing the old lume, in the end he repainted the hands a very slightly different colour.

    Not sure if it is something you may be interested in, as these two are no longer produced;

    Or the unloved Oris Big Crown;

    The GS SBGA011, quite possibly the nicest white dial I've ever seen.

    (not my photo, off google images)

    You may be able to pull it off at 3k, perhaps a few hundred short.

    I love this watch and as per the other "planning" thread, I have just jotted down this model in RG as an alternative to the Lange 1 for my Moonphase watch to buy next year depending on funds.

    I had one for about a day back in 2003/4. I hated it from the moment it arrived.
