More casual shoes for the winter?

I tend to wear quite smart clothes a lot, i feel more comfortable that way, especially when i am out and about,

Most of my weekend shoes are barker, church or crockett & jones lace ups in various shades of brown or tan

that said id like to get a pair of more casual type shoes for the winter and im kind of stumped,

anyone got any suggestions for smartish, comfortable slightly more casual shoes?

Eccos provide both comfort and performance in terms of weather protection .
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

I've been thinking the same thing. I like C&J as they fit me well - I have a pair of their cordovan boots and a pair of suede chukkas. I was in their Knightsbridge shop yesterday in fact, looking for something with rubber soles as really wet weather just ruins leather soles pretty quickly.

    Options that I looked at:

Bangor: grain leather, storm welt, dainite sole. Nice!
Exmoor: another brogue, oiled suede. I'm not too sure how the appearance of this leather would hold up after a season or two, might end up looking a bit rough.
Wexford: these are new I think. Split toe derby, oiled hide. I really liked these! There's a boot version too. Really comfortable, nicely lined. But perhaps more casual than I was looking for.

Still haven't decided - need to go back when they have my size in all of them.

Or there is the Herring Canning mentioned in another shoe thread.

I like those but like a lot of these Trickers collaborations, and the Aldens that are on similar websites, they are rarely available in sizes over about 10 or 11.

Camper have a large range of smart/casual shoes. I bought one of the "Beetle" styles in February this year, one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes I've ever owned and they're also very well made.

Never found anything to touch Yuketen. Those things are "built". Look around and you could find good deals on them at some retailers.

Is the shop selling RM Williams still in Dawson St., next to the RIAC?

For casual you can't go wrong with clarks originals. Wallabees being my favourite.

RM Williams (as someone else has already said). Get the rubber soles and you'll be good to go in all conditions.

    Cheers,

Bristolian is right but they aren't that lovely colour when you buy them. £235 from Shoe Healers but they offer a discount and a tin of polish.

Are these casual enough - on offer at the minute as well - down to only £16!

It's just a matter of time...
