    Buying advice

So I'm looking to venture out into some purchases but if I'm honest I don't know where to start....I like lots of watches but I haven't got a clue if they are god bad or complete tosh.

So could I have some recommendations please

    I can't spend big !
    I like chronos
I like em chunky but not big faces
    I don't mind a fixer upper

Think that's enough for now .....any feedback greatly received!

You need to give an upper limit for budget. Clearly there's no agreement on what "big" spending means here ...

Can you also give some example of the kind of watch and style you're looking for?

Auto, handwind, quartz, or don't care?

    Is water resistance an issue?

    Bracelet or strap?

    Not bothered

    Don't swim....(with a watch)

    Avoid metal

Gonna be hard pushed to find an auto 7750 chrono under £500, but there are options. If looking for quartz, these are nice, and well within budget:

also some nice hamilton jazzmaster chrono quartz available:

Start here, make a list of those which you fancy and then spend time on eBay and Google cross referencing them and checking prices, etc.
Use eBay as well to see other models/brands not already unearthed with the link.

Seiko Sportura and Citizen E2100 Eco-Drive are safe bets, as would Casio/Edifice.

Couple from the link I think look well, don't worry if you don't agree.....

So ive been looking at the Casio's...the market appears to be awash with the Red Bull sponsored ones, which for me works as im a fan of m-sport.

But im gonna keep looking around and check out the other recommendations

Tissot comes to mind straight away for your budget and chrono

It's still unclear what style you're looking for, but I'd suggest looking at Seiko, Hamilton, or Tissot.

Seiko chronos seem to be a big hit at the moment

I've recently bought a Seiko Solar chrono and I'm very happy with it. You get a lot of watch for the cash.

The Black/ blue version is also very nice
