Grand Seiko?
Royal Orient?
An awful photo?
Spring Drive?
Orient Star?
Probably a GS Spring Drive, as some fellow members also mentioned above. Well, I suppose it remains to be seen if we're right or not. Waiting eagerly for the pics. :)
Got it today – a day earlier than expected.
Need a couple of extra links so I can wear it, but for now it sits on the wrist half clasped, whilst I fall deeper and deeper into a transfixed state, watching the mesmerising second hand glide round and round and round the creamy white face and over the glistening hour markers and hour and minute hands.
If I should wake up from this blissful state, I'll take some artsy photos.......I hope – yet to figure out what the theme should be.
Anyway, have this one someone else took of theirs, for the meantime.

That is very nice indeed. If you don't mind me asking, where did you get it from?
Link seems to be broken?
Yay. Looks like we were right after all.
Very nice watch, the dial is really nice indeed. Congrats! :-)
Hope it's not more than 10 years old ;-)
Manufactured April 2006, purchased August last year - think I've a few years left yet, before needing to worry somewhat. LOL
My photography skills were lacking today, so the iridescent hue under 4000ºK compact fluorescent and rainbow effect on the machining of the movement have thus far eluded my ability to capture them.
Hopefully the coming days will let me see what I can conjure up for your delight.
Really beautiful. Wear it long and prosper.
That is really nice, in my mind i would never of looked at a Grand Seiko, but may well take a look around for one, lovely watch!
Cheers guys.
Alboy, you should make the effort. You can get into Grand Seikos for around £1K used, with their quartz models. Mechanicals and Spring Drives are £2.5-3K used.
Wow, i didnt realise they would be that kind of price, most certainly on my to be watched list, thank you
A few to give you an idea of what some can be had for:
Quartz
Mechanical – glass caseback models came a bit later with the 9S65, iirc.
Spring – Seiko's most infamous Grand, and it's titanium too!
Thank you for taking the time to post the above, much appreciated.
A trip to Dublin might be on the cards for you if you are interested in getting another one, Appleby will be selling the remaining stock to clear as they have not sold very many.
On a positive note they have informed me that they hope to replace this poor selling line with GS models, I will be over again it the next few weeks and I will report back.
Thanks Paul, but I'm not looking, nor in a position, to stockpile this model.
I have one, it works perfectly fine – I'm more than happy with that.
Still, do let us know how Dublin was for you.
Cheers, and a very fine watch it's looking to be........Spring Drive – just phenomenal
Pics or it never happened! LOL
Nice one – mine incame a month ago, just waiting on links so both halves of the clasp go together, like it should.
